Simple ways

Chapter 2

I woke up to the sun shunning in my eyes, I forgot to close the shades. I grabbed my pillow and threw it at the window making the shades make a lot of noise. I knew it wasn't gonna stop the sun shi ring through but it was worth a try.

I look over and see that Kailey is not in her bed, she must be up. Because we watched Once upon a time almost all night I had a dream that I was Emma swan. It was pretty cool though.

I get up and go to the bathroom and brush my teeth, I don't like the taste of morning breath. I walked into the living room and into the kitchen where Kailey made oatmeal.

"Help yourself." She said dishing herself up.

"Thanks I'm starting."

"So any call from Sam?" She said taking a bite of her oatmeal.

I started dishing up and put brown sugar in my oatmeal, "No, and I'm sure I won't get one for a while, you know how busy they can get."

"That's true, but doesn't mean he won't call."

I took a bite,"Speaking of calls, did you ever get a call back from your manager?"

"Yes! I got the part!"

"Really! That's amazing Kailey! I'm so happy for you!" I put my bowl down on the counter and gave her a hug.

Kailey has been trying to get a part for a movie since we moved in 3 months ago.

"Thank you."

"When do you start?"

"That's the thing, I start today."

"Wow."

"Yeah, I know so I better get going."

"Yeah, get going girl."

Kailey finished her oatmeal, then went to our room and got ready.

Once I finished eating I went into the living room to finish putting up decorations we procrastinate on putting up. I pull out a picture of me and my family, it's been 3 months since I have seen them, I miss them. I pull out another picture but this time Kailey's family.

I placed both pictures on a shelf that is by our couch. I take our tall lamp and place it on the other side of the couch. I think that's it...for now.

Kailey walk out of our room with a hoodie and shorts on, and no makeup.

"Well I'm off, I'll text you when I'm done." She said giving me a hug.

"Okay have fun!"

"I will thanks!"

She put her vans on and left.

"Well it's just me."

Buzz buzz buzz

I pick up my phone and see that it's an unknown number.

"Hello?" I answered

"Rose?"

"Um yes?"

"It's Sam."

"Sam! Oh hey! Sorry I'm still waking up." I walked to the kitchen and made coffee.
