Chapter 17

"Rose wake up wake up wake up!"

"Is it Christmas." I mumbled

"What? No! Why would you think it's Christmas?"

"Well you said 'wake up wake up wake up!' Like a 6 year old would say to her parents on Christmas morning." I sad sitting up looking at Kailey.

"Well no it's not Christmas, but we are in Minnesota." She laughed.

"Minnesota!?!? Already!?" I jumped off the couch and walked around Sam,We slept in the living room again, and looked out the window. You can tell its Minnesota once you have lived there for half of your life.

The leaves were falling and the sun was rising and it was that fall air.

"Come on we haven't done this in a long time." I said to Kailey

"Done what?" She asked following me out of the bus.

I ran to the nearest big pile of leaves and jumped in.

"Oh my gosh, we use to do that all the time when we were little." Kailey starting running towards me.

"Wait Kailey you might want to..." Before I could finish she jumped in the same pile but elbowed me in the stomach.

"Wait till I move." I coughed.

"Oops... Sorry." Kailey laughed.

"It's okay." I joined her.

We spent 30 minutes jumping into piles of leaves. It brought back memories when we use to do this at her house in the yard.

"What are you guys doing?" Tayler asked walking out of the bus with Sam and Colby following.

"Jumping in leaves like when we were little."

Suddenly Tayler starts running and jumps into the leaves next to us and Sam and Colby joined in on the fun.

We continued messing around for another 30 minutes. We decided we should go And get ready to visit family. Me and Kailey did the regular morning routine, makeup, hair and get dress.

"So uh Rose can I talk to you?" Sam asked.

"Yeah."

He held my hand and guided me to the bunk room.

"So I was wonding if you have told your parents about us?"

"Yeah of course I did. Why, are you nervous?" I smirked

"What me nervous no."

"Sam it's okay if your nervous, I was nervous to meet your parents. Everything is going to be okay."

"Are you sure?"

I grabbed his shirt and went on my tippy toes so our lips could meet.

"Yes I'm sure. Now let's go join the others."

I grabbed Sam's hand and guided us back to the others. We sat on the couch with Tayler and Kailey and Colby were sitting by the table. We talked until we arrived at Kailey's house were everyone is to meet up.

There is no need to nock on her door, if you're close to the family you just walk in. We opened the door and took off our shoes.

"Mom dad?!" Kailey shouted walking into the living room. 

"Kailey!" Her mom got up and gave her a hug and so did her dad.

"Rose!" I look in the kitchen and saw my parents.

"Mom dad!" I ran to my parents and gave them a hug. "It's so nice to see you. Mom dad,"

I gabbed Sam's hand and pulled him to my parents.

"This is Sam, Colby is the guy standing next to Kailey and Tayler is the one sitting in the couch."

"It's so nice to finally meet you Sam." My mom said shaking his hand.

"It's nice to meet you too."  We all walked into the living room and caught up on each other's lives.

"So can we talk bout what happened at the bank." Kailey's dad asked.

"Well we went there to take money out for the fair next thing I know some guy is holding me and another guy is holding Rose. It took them almost an hour to get the money, someone talked when they were told not to and well..." Kailey couldn't finish the story with out crying so Sam did.

"Well on of the guys took Rose and put her in the middle of the room and had a gun pointed at her head." Sam finished holding my hand.

"But Kailey was so brave she beat up the guy, me and the guys took out the others then the police took care of the situation." Colby finished.

"Well we're all glad that you are all safe. Let's eat so you guys can leave on time for the show." My mom said getting up leading everyone to the kitchen.

We stayed for a while so for dinner there was mashed potatoes with gravy, turkey, corn, and a lot more food. Let's just say our moms wanted to have a early thanksgiving.

After we ate we had to leave for the show and to get Mikayla. We said our goodbyes and Sam and Colby had a talk with our dads. 

But after the show we got on the bus and headed to mikayla's  house.

"It's that one right there." Kailey pointed out to the bus driver.

Mikayla came out running with her bags. We gave each other a group hug but ended up falling. Sam helped me up and Colby helped Kailey up.

"Here let me help you."

Mikayla looking  up seeing Tayler was so funny and cute.

"Tayler!" She jumped up giving him a hug. "I didn't know you were going to be here!" Mikayla said excitedly

"Her I am!"Tayler laughed.

Tayler helped Mikayla bring her bags to the bunk room. Kailey,Colby,Sam and I peeked through the curtain and listened to Tayler and Mikayla.

"So your bunk will be on the very top but it depends were Rose and Sam sleep, for the past few nights they have been sleeping in the living room." Tayler said scratching the back of his head.

"Okay the top is fine." Mikayla turned around and started walking towards us.
We quickly moved to the couch and acted like we weren't spying on them.

"So how are you guys doing, you know after the bank robbery?" Mikayla asked sitting by the table and Tayler joined her.

"We're fine, a little shaken up but fine." Sam replied.

I got up and pulled out a deck of cards from a shelf. "So should we play slap jack?"
