Chapter 18

We divided the cards evenly. We went around clockwise placing down cards till there is a jack then you slap to get the cards and you go till there is one winner.

Queen,10,9,7,3,6,King, 5,4,1,7,2,9,king, 2,9,5,Jack.

Suddenly all of our hands hit the pile.

"Ouch!" Tayler laughed holding his hand.

"I Got it!" Sam said.

We continued to slap each others hands and when the game was over our hands were red.

"Rose what time is the football game at?" Sam asked.

"9. They had to push it back because the janitors didn't rake the football field."

"What football game are we seeing?" Mikayla asked.

"Burnsville vs Egan. We should get ready."

I got up and put the cards away and walked into the bunk room with Mikayla and Kailey following.

We changed into sweat pants, tank and hoodie. We brushed our teeth and hair.

"We're ready." I said holding Sam's hand.

(The bus driver drove us when we girls were getting ready.)

We all got off the bus and headed to the bleachers.

"Wait, do we really want to sit there? We should go over on that hill and watch from there for free."

"Good thinking Kailey, let's do it." Colby said leading the group to the hill.

We quickly climes up, it was a perfect view. I took out the blanked in my backpack and laid it out.

"Does anyone want any snacks?" Kailey asked

"Sure." Mikayla and I coerced.

"Do you care what I get?" Kailey asked us.

"No,go ahead." I said

"You wanna come Colby?"

"Yeah!" He jumped up and followed Kailey down the hill.

I laid down on the blanket and Sam joined me.

"Hey cutie."

"Hey." I smiled at him.

"Um were gonna walk around." Tayler said standing next to Mikayla.

"Okay don't go too far or you'll get lost." I said

"We won't." Tayler grabbed Mikayla's hand guiding her away from me and Sam.

Mikayla POV

Tayler held my hand as we walked around.

"So how have you been?" Tayler asked

"Iv been fine, How have you been?"

"Iv been fine."

We were quiet for a little bit as we walked in a neighborhood.

"Do you know where we are?" I laughed

"Uh totally as long we go straight we know to turn around and go straight back."

"Where's the money?"

Tayler stopped our walk and looked off in the distance in front of us.

"Tayler, is everything okay?"

"Shh." He put his finger on my lips stoping me from talking.

"You said you had the money!"

"Yeah well I don't have it right now."

We walked forward a little till the people were in our sight. Suddenly one of them pulled out a gun.

"Oh my gosh." I said quickly putting my hands over my mouth to keep quite.

Tayler took a picture of them and called the police.

"Yes me and my gir..friend are on a walk and these guys are making a drug deal but one of them jut pulled out a gun. We're on 13 th avenue."

I held onto Tayler's arm and hid behind him. 6 minutes later the police showed up and stopped them.

After they were place under arrest, the police came to us and asked Tayler for his statement.

"We were just on a walk then we heard talk, we walked a little closer and saw them, then one of them pulled out a gun... Him." Tayler pulled out his phone and showed the officer the picture.

"Alright, thank you. You kids may go now."

The officer went back to his car and we headed back to Rose and Sam.

"You handed that well." I said

"Yeah it's not the first time I saw a shooting about to happen."

"I was so scared."

"It's okay I wouldn't let anything bad happen to you." Tayler hugged me and kissed the top of my head. "Come on let's get back to the others."

Kailey POV

We got back to the hill with snacks.

"Where is Mikayla and Tayler?" I asked.

"They went on a walk." Rose replied taking the bag of skittles.

We sat on the blanket and watched the game. 7-4 Burnsville winning.
When halftime started Mikayla and Tayler got back.

"How was the walk?" Colby asked

"Um, it was interesting." Tayler said looking down at Mikayla.

"What do you mean interesting?"I asked

"Well, we heard people talking so we walked closer and realized there was a drug deal going on, then one of the guys pulled out a gun, I called the police, and now we're here."

"Wow." Said Sam.

Tayler and Mikayla joined us on the blanket and we continued to watch the game.  At the end of the game Burnsville won, Rose folded up the blanket and put it back in her bag, and we wall went back into the bus.

"Hey Mikayla I have a surprise for you wait here." Tayler said heading to the closet.

Me and rose sat on the couch and Sam and Colby were at the table. Tayler came out with three big stuffed animals and set them down in front of Mikayla.

"For you, I won them at the fair." Tayler said.

"Aww Tayler your so sweet." Mikayla walked around the stuffed animals and gave Tayler a big hug.

Me and Rose looked at each other, we knew what each other were thinking.

"So how long of a drive is it tomorrow morning to Washington?" I asked.

"Almost 22 hours. So head to bed kids." Our driver said walking in the bus. We all go ready for bed, Mikayla and Tayler go on the very top two bunks me and Colby slept on the bottom two and Sam and Rose slept in the living room.

I can't believe tour is almost over. But it's going to be nice to be back in California.
