Sagwa crouched in front of Darla, "Hello, Blondie. How you feeling?"
Darla spat at her, "Bitch."
Sagwa slapped her across the face, "Watch it, Darla, I will kill you."
The others watched as Sagwa bared her fangs.
Darla squirmed in the chair, "Look, Sagwa, I don't know what you think you can achieve by this."
"You are going to tell me everything you know of Vlad."
Darla looked genuinely confused, "I don't know anything about him. Jack doesn't discuss these things in detail with me. All I know is that a certain Hunter," her eyes went briefly to Kreed, "Retrieved the blood samples for him."
Sagwa spun, standing straight, "Kreed?"
"Hybrid, I got those samples so many years ago. I had no idea what he was doing with them."
Sagwa sighed and turned back to Darla, "Does Jack know where to find him?"
Darla shook her head, "I don't think so. He prefers not to deal with anyone first hand. You know this."
Sagwa let out an annoyed growl, "So you are of no use to us. You came here simply to kill Trisha."
"Jack wanted you to know he's found you."
Sagwa tilted her head, "Well, let's see how he responds when you don't come back."
Darla's eyes widened, "No. Don't. Please."
Sagwa got a cruel look on her face, "Actually, I will send you back. As a little gift to Jack."
She allowed one of her nails to elongate, using the sharp claw to slice an opening in her wrist.
"No! No!"
Sagwa forced Darla's mouth open, forcing the blood to drop into her mouth.
"She's turning Darla?" Asked Em.
Kreed nodded.
Gabe frowned, "Sugs, is this really a good idea?"
Sagwa ignored him, watching as Darla tried to gag the blood out; it was too late though.
"You're going to wake up a monster, just like me." Sagwa punched her, knocking her out.
"Was that necessary ?" Asked Red.
Sagwa turned, "Yes. Now one of you please take this woman and leave her at Jack's. He's in store for a nice little surprise."
Kreed stood, "I'll deliver her, Hybrid."
Sagwa nodded and took a seat on the couch.
Red walked over and joined her, "Sugs, you need to be careful. This curse, its changing you."
Sagwa turned to him, "Red, its not the curse that's changing me, its the fact that I've realised to survive in this world you can't be nice."
Red frowned, "I miss the old you, Sugs."
Sagwa scoffed, "Don't we all."
"You need to control yourself, attacking in anger will get you nowhere." Said Em from across the room.
Sagwa shot her a look, "Yes, oh wise Sensei."
Em narrowed her eyes but wisely chose to keep her words to herself.
Sagwa turned to Red, "Are you okay? I kinda went crazy out there."
Red waved a hand, "Nah, I'm good."
Sagwa frowned, her skin suddenly getting hot, as if she had a fever.
She quickly scanned the room to make sure none of the others noticed before leaning back, closing her eyes.
Suddenly she was in an old stone castle. She saw the back of a huge man; easily seven feet tall, if not more.
His shoulders were broad and his black hair hung past his shoulders onto his red coat.
She saw his hand as he moved and she couldn't help but gasp.
Vlad.
Sagwa jumped up, "My god. I just saw Vlad. He's fucking huge."
All eyes turned to her.
Gabe was the one who spoke first, "You must have some sort of connection with him through the blood."
"But doesn't that mean he should have the same connection and her?" Asked Em.
Suddenly Sagwa could feel it, she could feel that he felt her.
"He must." Said Gabe.
"He was in a place that looks like one of those old Gothic castles."
Kreed walked in, "Who was?"
"Vlad." They all answered at once.
Kreed frowned, "And how do we know this?"
Gabe motioned to Sagwa, "She saw it."
"Shit."
Sagwa sighed, "This is good though. It might make finding him easier."
Kreed nodded but there was something in his eyes that Sagwa noticed; something she didn't quite like.
She wondered how he had managed to get Vlad's blood and made a mental note to ask him about it later.
Gabe sighed and went over to his desk with Em while Raya joined Red on the couch.
"Sugs, you feed the vampire in you. What about the wolf?" Asked Gabe.
Sagwa turned, "I thought you were against this?"
"I am, but by feeding only one, you will be strengthening only that one."
She frowned, "Isn't that better than both?"
Gabe shook his head, "No. The stronger can then take over. You need to have a balance between human, vampire and wolf."
"Have you even turned wolf yet?" Asked Raya.
Em frowned, "Don't you need the full moon for that?"
"She doesn't." Said Kreed.
Sagwa went and stood away from the others, "If I get out of hand, shoot me in the paw."
The others all shared looks, not knowing how to react.
But it was too late, Sagwa had let go of her control and she was currently grunting in pain as her bones popped as she changed form.
With one loud growl she dropped onto all fours briefly before standing on two extremely long hind legs.
Her coat was thick and an odd silver/blue colour, her eyes remaining her own odd shade.
Kreed took a step back, it was like looking at a vampire werewolf.
"Werewolves can't control themselves in this form." Said Red, slightly shaking at the sight of Sagwa.
She dropped back to all fours and started toward them.
"She's going to kill us." Said Em.
Kreed crouched, "She won't."
Sagwa stopped in front of him and nuzzled his neck for a second before howling in pain and dropping onto her side.
"What's happening?" Asked a panicked Gabe.
"She isn't strong enough to hold the wolf form for too long." Replied Kreed, stepping back.
Sagwa wriggled around, moaning in pain as her body changed back to human form, leaving her completely naked.
Kreed took his jacket off and wrapped it around her, "You okay?"
She nodded, "Just tired."
Kreed helped her to her feet, "Let's get you to bed."
They went to the room and Kreed waited for Sagwa to get dressed and get into bed before getting in next to her and wrapping his arms around her.
She was asleep within seconds and as he watched her sleep he couldn't help but wonder what would happen when she found out the truth about him.
Would her feelings toward him change when she found out his secret.
He tightened his hold on her, she was the first to mean this much to him since his late wife.
He couldn't stand to lose someone close to him again.
And then there was the problem of that monster Vlad; would he hurt her?
Or worse, would he do what he was best at and kill her?
Shaking his head slightly he tried to rid his mind of the images from all those years ago.
He knew Sagwa needed to find Vlad, but his own selfish needs and worries were stopping him from taking her to him.
He just couldn't relive the pain again.
Especially not at that monsters hands.
He sighed, he needed to find a way to put an end to Vlad before Sagwa got to him.
He wouldn't let the vampire win; not again.
