Sagwa frowned, "A cabin? Well, no one will accuse you of being original."
Kreed glared at her as he pushed her through the door into the cabin, "I wasn't going for original."
Sagwa looked around, "You know, I need clothes."
"What?"
Sagwa sighed, "Clothes. I can't live in these."
"You won't be living long so you don't need to worry about it."
"Jeez, talk about moody' she thought.
Kreed turned to her, "Look, the boss wants me to find some things out before killing you, that's the only reason you're not dead yet. I'm sorry, but you will be soon."
He froze, realizing his words, did he just apologize. What was going on?
Sagwa shrugged, "I've been running long enough to know that one day I'd end up dead."
Kreed turned away, going into the small open plan kitchen and opening the fridge and taking out a bottle of vodka.
He opened it and took an extremely long swig, Sagwa was messing with his mind and he needed something to wake him up a bit.
Sagwa walked up to him and pulled herself up onto the counter, "Care to share with the walking dead girl?"
His jaw clenched but he handed her the bottle anyway.
She took it and took a long sip, not even wincing as the liquid burned its way down her throat.
He stood watching her for a second before turning and going to lean on the sink, looking out the window, sighing.
Sagwa watched as the muscles of his back tensed under his black shirt.
'He's got a nice build' she though to herself, taking another sip from the bottle.
"You know, I knew I was going to end up dead before I ended up with this fucked up curse."
Kreed turned, slightly, "Why?"
Sagwa shrugged, "Well, I'm not exactly in a safe business. I knew karma would come around sooner rather then later and make me realize that I should never have got into this life."
Kreed nodded, "Makes sense."
"How did you get into the business? Killing, I mean."
He looked taken aback by the question.
"None of your business."
Sagwa went and sat on the couch with the bottle of vodka, intent on finishing it.
Kreed frowned, "You're not going to lose control when you're drunk and go crazy vamp-werewolf on my ass are you?"
Sagwa laughed, "Nah."
Half an hour later Sagwa was in the room, handcuffed to the head bored.
She was drunk and happy to be alone, because she couldn't stop crying.
Knowing that she was going to die soon was taking its toll.
She didn't want to die, not yet anyway..
Before she thought that when the day came, she would be ready for it, and right now, she was nowhere near ready to die.
She just hadn't thought that it would come this soon.
She looked at the handcuff on her wrist, 'I could just turn into a werewolf and break this'
As tempted as she was to try it, she realized that it wouldn't really help.
Yes, she would be free, but then she would have no control of what she did. And that would mean that Jack had gotten exactly what he wanted, and there was no way in hell she would let that happen.
She would die before even thinking of letting him win.**********
Gabe sat with Red on his balcony.
"Red, I love her."
"We all do, Gabe."
Gabe shook his head, "No, I love her, Red. More then a friend."
Red looked guilty, "Gabe.. You're not the only one."
Gabe froze, "What?"
"Gabe, I'm sorry. I just, I love her. She doesn't know though, no one does."
Gabe frowned, "How long have you loved her?"
"Since I met her."Red felt extremely bad for telling Gabe his feelings for Sagwa, but at the same time he was relieved, he had been keeping it in for so long that it felt good to get it out in the open.**********
The next morning Sagwa woke up, still handcuffed to the head bored.
"Hey! Kreed, can you unlock these things?"
A few seconds later the door opened and Kreed walked in.
He unlocked the cuffs and stood by the door.
She followed him to the kitchen.
But then there was a knock on the door and when Kreed went to open it Sagwa took her chance and ran through to the room where she climbed out the window and started running through the thick line of trees.
What she hadn't expected was to see a huge guy with The Hulks muscles come around the corner after her.
"Shit!"
She tripped, falling and cutting her pants -and leg- on a rock on the sandy ground.
She jumped up and started running again, but within a few seconds the huge guy had her.
But then he dropped as he fell to the ground next to her, clearly dead.
Sagwa stood.
Kreed stood with a gun, "What the fuck are you doing?"
Sagwa froze, "Uh, I was trying to get away from him..."
Kreed frowned looking at her, "C'mon."
Sagwa followed him back to the cabin.
Her shirt was ripped, revealing some cuts she had from the bushes.
Her pants were also torn and she had mud all over her.
Kreed pulled her into the bathroom, "Run a bath, I'll get you something to wear."
He walked off, closing her in the bathroom.**********
Kreed went into the room and pulled out a black button up shirt.
He had no clue why he was doing this, but he didn't like seeing her with all the dirt and those cuts on her.
And she couldn't really wear clothes that were ripped, that was it.
Yeah, you keep telling yourself that, Cortez' He thought.
He went back through to the bathroom and opened the door.
She had a towel around herself.
He froze momentarily before holding out the shirt for her, "You, uh, can wear this."
She took it with one hand while holding the towel firmly in place with the other,
He was still staring at her, he couldn't pull his eyes from her, and as much as he hated to admit it, he didn't want to stop looking at her, even though he knew that he needed to.
She raised an eyebrow, "If you don't mind, I'd like to actually get in the bath."
He had to force himself to turn and leave, he wanted to stay.
He wanted a to do a lot that he shouldn't.
'This isn't going to work if you can't keep yourself under control, Cortez' he thought angrily.
He was hired to kill the girl, how could he be standing there, thinking about how she looked in a towel.
Sighing, he refused to admit to himself that he was already in deep trouble.----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
