Sagwa lay on the bed, she had fed from Kreed before he left with Gabe on the hunt for Vlad.
Sagwa was at the stage where she had given up any hope of finding the Vampire.
Sighing, she got to her feet and put on a pair of leggings, a tank top and black trainers.
Grabbing a grey hoodie she headed out, needing to clear her mind.
Jogging had always helped before, so she figured it was a good idea to try.
She had no set direction in which to go, but her feet always carried her to the right places, so without thinking, she started jogging. The sky was cloudy and it looked like it might rain, not that it worried Sagwa, with everything she had been dealing with, rain was the least of her worries.
She had no idea where she was and abruptly came to a stop when she realised she stood in front of an old, grey stone mansion.
She frowned at the huge building, she had never seen it before and it wasn't something you would be able to miss.
Running a hand through her hair, she took a deep breath and slowly went up the steps to the large iron doors.
She had an odd pulling feeling from the house and was surprised as she leant against the door and it opened effortlessly.
Taking a tentative step forward she was surprised at the huge space, the winding stairwell was huge.
Sagwa started for the stairs, but as she got to the stairs she heard a scream come from somewhere in the mansion.
"What the hell?"
She went through, finding a gigantic living room, deep red couches of velvet, animal skin carpeting and floor to ceiling bookshelves.
She had no idea where she was going, but she intended to find the source of that scream.
Continuing she found stairs leading down to a basement.
It was dark and Sagwa had to use her vampire hybrid to allow her to see in the darkness.
The staircase was long and she started down slowly.
Before she even reached the bottom she could smell blood and old, rotting flesh.
Her feet hit the basement and she was surprised by the water that met with her feet.
She took a step forward and froze.
There he is
As the she realised it, he turned.
"Dear god."
He was huge, easy seven feet, if not more.
Wide shoulders under a long red and gold coat.
Muscular legs in black leather.
Black messy hair falling to his shoulders.
Sagwa took a step back.
He didn't look happy to see her.
"Vlad."
"Why are you here?"
"I need your help."
He let out a loud laugh that seemed to shake the walls around her.
She wanted to take another step back but refused to show this creature any sign of weakness.
"You need to help me."
He roared and suddenly he was in front of her, he lifted his hand, back handing her across the face and sending her across the room and into the wall.
Sagwa moaned and got to her feet, shaking her head, "Okay, now you asked for it."
She allowed the Hybrids to take over, her body growing, fangs and nails elongating.
She saw the shock on his face and used the moment to attack, knocking him from his feet and ripping out a chunk of flesh from his face.
He roared and kneed her, sending her back to the floor where he dived to bite her.
She struggled against him, but he managed to bite into her side.
She gripped him by the hair and through him off her.
He frowned at her, "You have my blood."
"I also have a way to bring your wife back. If you choose to help me."
This seemed to get his attention.
"My wife."
Sagwa nodded, "Merena."
A brief flicker of emotion crossed his face, and Sagwa was momentarily shocked by it; someone who had been undead for so long could still feel.
"And how would I help you?"
Sagwa sighed, "Its a long story. Let me explain from the beginning."
++++Sagwa walked into the flat, happy to see all her friends.
Kreed stood, "Sorry, Hybrid, no luck."
"No worries." She stepped aside and allowed Vlad to walk in, he had to crouch to get through the door.
Kreed let out a breath, going a shade paler.
Sagwa turned, "Guys, this is Vlad Dracul. Vlad, this is Raya and Em. Gabe and Red, they are the ones who will make the cure. That's Kreed."
Vlad walked up to Raya, "Witch," he stepped over to Em, "Siren," he moved to Gabe, "Filthy human," he turned to Red, "Human, but you have warlock blood in you." He glanced at Kreed before curling his lip in a growling manner.
Sagwa stepped forward, "Vlad."
He turned to her, "So who is going to bring me my wife?"
"Once you've helped me, then you will find out. I can't risk you turning against us."
He narrowed his eyes but said nothing.
Gabe cleared his throat, "So, um, Vlad, could you come over here?"
He glared at Gabe.
Sagwa stepped forward, "He needs to take blood for the cure."
Vlad sat down, not hiding his distaste for Gabe in the least, his lip curled.
Sagwa turned to Raya and Em, "So, witch and siren?"
Raya held up her hand and shrugged.
Em frowned, "Same here, I have no idea what he's talking about."
Suddenly there was a loud crashing sound and the door came crashing down.
Sagwa turned just as Jack came walking in like he owned the place, along with a few of his men.
Kreed joined Sagwa, and she was surprised to see that Vlad did too.
Jack glared at Sagwa, "I see you have a team of amateurs."
"What do you want, Jack?"
"You to suffer. You see, originally I wanted you dead, but now after you turned Darla into a monster, I want so much more."
Sagwa allowed herself to change, "You turned me into a monster, and now you have the audacity to come after me for turning Darla?"
Jack let out a twisted laugh, "You were meant to work with me. You could have had power. But instead you choose to surround yourself with weaklings. People who deceive you. Like your dear Kreed over here," he turned to Kreed, "Have you told her where I got the werewolf blood from?"
With that he left.
Sagwa turned to Kreed, "What is he talking about?"
Kreed shook his head, "I don't... Shit. Hybrid, he's just messing with you."
Sagwa grabbed him by the collar, "Do not lie to me, Kreed."
"He's a werewolf." Said Vlad.
Sagwa took a step back, studying Kreed, waiting for him to deny it.
But when her eyes met his, she knew he couldn't.
"You've been lying to me this whole time."
Kreed shook his head, "I never lied to you."
"You didn't tell me!" She screamed and the walls shook.
Gabe took a step forward, "Sugs, you need to calm down."
Sagwa could hear his voice, but the anger she felt had allowed the Hybrids to take over, she gripped Kreed by the shirt, "You betrayed me."
Gabe instantly backed away, her voice had changed, she sounded demonic.
She roared and threw Kreed across the room to the door, "Get out. Get out before I rip you to shreds."
Kreed stood, his face a mask made of hurt, and walked out.
He wanted nothing more than to stay and explain, but he couldn't, not right now with her in the state she was in.
###############Soo, who saw that coming?
Sagwa just cannot get a break!
