3:46 pm

After not eating lunch and not leaving his room in two hours, Steve began pounding on Bucky's door.

"Buck come on! You have to come out sometime!" He paused, crossing his arms. "Open this door or I'll break it down!" He ordered like a parent.

When there was no answer, Steve backed up. He then ran at full force and knocked the door straight off its hinges.

The room was empty.

Bucky was on the streets of New York, in a hoodie and baseball cap. He had to find her. He kept walking, and on occasion would find a known HYDRA safe house and bust open the door.

Only to find it bare empty.

So he kept walking, until someone grabbed him from behind and hit him hard on the head with a metal bar.

Steve began to panic at the Tower.

"Bucky's gone!" He yelled through the Tower halls until everyone was in the living room. "We have to find him, he can't go berserk again..." He trailed off, stopping his pace.

"Suit up." Tony ordered. Everyone looked at him. Wanda glared at Steve, then at Tony.

"I'm not going." She stated, crossing her arms and sitting in a chair.

"Fine, we'll go without you." Steve said. Before leaving he turned around. "It's not just about Audrey, and it's not just about Bucky, Wanda." He looked around the room.

"We're heroes. And being a hero means your life's going to be put on the line and you just have to accept it." Steve shook his head, he was disappointed. He left to get suited.

Everyone followed him, even the Witch.

Bucky was deep inside the base, he was being restrained to a chair in the middle of the room. He was now awake, with a splitting headache.

Doctor West entered, and two guards came as well.

"Hello James. My name's Doctor West, I've heard of you. The famous Winter Soldier, one of our own, who went rogue. Became the good guy, huh?" He paused, "But there aren't good guys, James, only bad men and worse men."

"I'm not a monster anymore." He hissed at the man.

"Everyone is, deep down at the core. It's in the animal parts of you. How they are controlled..." Doctor West trailed off. Bucky glared at him and he began:

"Longing." Not now, not when he had to find Audrey... "Rusted." He couldn't...

"No!" He yelled.

"Seventeen."

"I'm not the monster, HYDRA is." He muttered to himself, trying not to let the monster free.

"Daybreak, furnace," Doctor West watched the beads of sweat on the man's face with pleasure, "Nine."

"Audrey," he breathed, reminding himself. Bucky felt reality, memories, even Audrey slipping away with every word.

"Benign, homecoming, one." He focused, and did not whisper nonsense anymore.

"Freight car." Doctor West leaned over to get in the soldier's view. "Hail HYDRA."

"Immortal HYDRA." The Winter Soldier whispered gruffly, not looking at the Doctor.

"We shall never be destroyed." Doctor West said, standing. "Cut him loose." He said to a guard.

"And Soldier?" Doctor West asked the Winter Soldier, as he looked at the Doctor for the first time. His eyes were empty, his soul blank. "Kill Soldier 0324, Audrey Rolf."

"Yes sir." He said obediently.

Doctor West grinned, they would be the death of each other just as they were once the life.
