Namjoon left the book shop and immediately his phone buzzed. He saw who it was and sighed, but still he answered the call.
"Hyung! We're eating at that restaurant again. Come join us!"
"Taehyung-ah, why are you just calling me now?" He could hear the raucous laughter in the background.
"Because, everyone thought you were busy, but I didn't. I finally decided to just call you and check. To be honest, I really didn't think you would answer. Just come! Please?"
Taehyung's voice sounded a little sheepish and Namjoon had to try hard to hide the smile in his voice. "Fine. I'll be there soon. I'm only a few blocks away." Namjoon sighed and hung up the call, grinning at it. With the idea of food at the end of his little journey, he quickly made his way down to the restaurant.
Upon entering, he saw the group chowing down on the food already. Taehyung saw him first and jumped up to pull over a chair. "Hyung! Come sit down!"
Namjoon nodded and sauntered over to the table, removing his jacket and sitting down next to Taehyung, who was busy gathering food to set in front of his friend.
"Seriously, man, what are you? My mom?" He laughed as he took the pair of chopsticks offered to him by Jimin who was seated across from him.
"Can't I take care of my friend and leader," mumbled Taehyung, slightly offended by Namjoon's comment.
"Sure, you can," relented Namjoon, allowing the younger man to serve him.
"Where have you been, Hyung," asked Jungkook around a giant bite of some meat.
"Just wandering around," he dodged. He couldn't say that he hadn't wandered anywhere. That he had been in that bookshop all day, practically stalking a former school mate. He shoved a spoonful of rice into his mouth and tried to look like he wasn't lying.
Yoongi eyed him from a few seats down. He had been with Namjoon for a long time. He knew when he was hiding something and it was obvious to Yoongi that he was, indeed, hiding something. He narrowed his eyes and looked away from Namjoon choosing to focus on his plate instead. He would interrogate him later.
The meal went on a while longer and soon everyone was stuffed and ready to call it a night. Their manager went and paid the bill and everyone readied to leave.
"Hyung," said Taehyung sheepishly, "I'm sorry I fell asleep while you were reading to me the other day." He threw an arm around Namjoon's shoulders and walked in tandem with him out of the restaurant.
"It's no problem, Tae, it was a boring book anyway," he laughed, patting his younger friend on the back. The two were waiting on the other members to crawl into the van.
"Taehyung-ssi?" A feminine voice was heard by both men and Taehyung looked puzzled.
Namjoon's eyes grew wide as he saw who the voice was coming from. Hyejin!
"Hyung, I don't think I know this woman. Could she be a sasaeng? No, wait, she wouldn't have just stood there. I would already be on the ground being mauled by her. I think she's just a fan. Maybe I'll go talk to her." Taehyung removed his arm from Namjoon's shoulders and started to walk towards Hyejin, who was looking a bit confused.
"Wait," muttered Namjoon, grabbing his friend's arm. "You get in, I'll talk to her."
"That doesn't make sense," reasoned Taehyung.
"Just do it," mumbled Namjoon through a tight smile and gritted teeth.
"Fine." Taehyung smiled at the girl and waved sweetly. He waved and climbed into the van.
