Yoongi and Hyejin sat at a small two-top table in the back corner of the coffee shop. It was a small shop off the beaten path so few customers had come through it. He felt his pocket vibrating and quietly pulled his phone out and held it low, looking at the caller ID. He smirked slightly and stuffed the phone back in his pocket. Not yet.
"So, thanks again for the flowers," smiled Hyejin, sipping her hot coffee. The air had gotten slightly colder and she could feel Fall in the air, so the coffee was like a cozy blanket to her, making her smile.
"No problem. Just a token of my thanks." Yoongi leaned forward on his folded arms that were resting on the table in front of him.
"So you're in BTS also?"
Yoongi jerked a finger up to his lips. "Shhhh, unless you want to go home early," he said quietly, chuckling at her repentant face.
"Sorry," she whispered. "So what do you do in the group besides rap?"
"How did you know I rap?" He laughed softly, amazed she knew about him already when according to Taehyung she was still a BTS newbie.
"My friend Megan sort of forced me on a Bomb binge the other night before she left. I managed to make it thorough all of them so I think I've sorted out everyone's positions in the group. Namjoon is the leader and rapper, you and that hyper fellow, J-Hope, are also rappers. Let's see...the oldest one is Jin and he's a singer and visual? Right?" She felt encouraged and smiled as he nodded excitedly to her.
"Then there's Jimin, who starts the beginning of the maknae line. The maknae line consists of Jimin, V, or Taehyung, and then the maknae himself, Jungkook. Right so far?"
Yoongi leaned back and giggled. "Yep. Absolutely correct so far. What else do you know?"
Hyejin took a sip of her coffee and set the mug down gently. "Well, I think I know that you guys are pretty close. Almost like brothers. Just by watching your videos I can see you care for one another. I can also tell that you're a bunch of practical jokers." She laughed and watched him hang his head, admitting it was all true.
"You're right about it all. We are like a family. I trust those six guys completely. We may have individual dreams but one we all share is make BTS the best group we can and do as much as we can while we're young." He cleared his throat. It wasn't easy for him to be open and "touchy feely". "Hyejin-ssi-"
"Sorry to interrupt, but would it be okay if you weren't so formal with me? I know you're older than me and it makes me a bit uneasy." She blushed and took another sip of her coffee.
"Alright," he said softly, watching as part of her hair came loose and fell down by her eyes. She quickly reached up and tucked it behind her ear and he felt all kinds of strange things while he watched her gesture.
"Anyway, as I was saying before I was so rudely interrupted," he joked, causing them both to chuckle softly. "I..." He stopped as he looked up and saw a familiar face in the window of the coffee shop.
"Did you lose your train of thought," she giggled, leaning forward slightly, trying to catch his eye.
He quickly jerked his eyes back to her. "Ah, right." Out of the corner of his eye he saw his friend walk into the shop. He smiled widely at Hyejin and spoke sweetly. "I was just going to say that I think you're very beautiful." He raised a hand, rested his elbow on the table, and propped his chin up.
Hyejin slowly sat back and felt her face flush, her eyes growing wide. "Um...thank you," she mumbled, quickly gulping down a mouthful of the steaming hot liquid. "Ouch!" She fanned her mouth and Yoongi giggled, keeping his eyes on her, but his peripheral vision trained on the blonde man who was casually standing at the counter.
