"You think you can beat me, Fire Freckles?" a twelve year old boy taunted as he was facing the red head.
Naoki, one of her new teammates, had brown hair, with brown eyes to match. On top of that, he was arrogant and didn't know when to stop, though Akahana did enjoy his jokes from time to time.
"Try me, tree boy," she retorted.
They sparred for a little longer, a kunai ultimately touching the back of Akahana's neck, "You're not that bad, tree boy," she stated prior to ducking and tackling him. He landed on his stomach and Akahana put a foot on top of him, wearing a grin.
"Don't get cocky, you cheated."
"No, she didn't," Mako stated. Mako was their fellow teamate, a boy with dark eyes, dark hair and black glasses, "Shinobi are allowed to fight dirty."
"Girls shouldn't!" Naoki exclaimed.
"That's sexist," Mako stated calmly, "Shinobi are shinobi, male or female."
Their sensei, Aburame Shibi, watched as the three genin trained together, with the usual quarrelling. Akahana had taken the Chunin exams earlier, but wasn't promoted. She had failed the last stage of the test, having lost against a genin from another team.
However, Shibi knew better not to underestimate her. She had quite the intellectual if she thought things through well enough.
"Shibi-sensei! What do you think, should girls be allowed to fight dirty?!" Naoki asked loudly.
Shibi shrugged, he wasn't much of a talker, neither was he one to show much emotion. His eyes were always hidden behind a pair of sunglasses, like any other Aburame, "Everyone can fight however they like."
Akahana grinned, "See?" she stated as she looked at Naoki, "He agrees with Mako and I."
"Screw you, Fire Freckles!" the boy roared, "I won't hold back next time we fight."
Akahana smiled, with her eyes closed, "Good!" she beamed.

"So, how's your new team like?" Kakashi asked as the two eight year olds sat on a fallen tree trunk.
"Naoki is nice, though he's loud and determined to beat me, Mako is also very nice, calm and reasonable and I haven't gotten a good impression of Shibi-sensei yet," Akahana told him, "He rarely speaks."
"Have you got new nicknames?" Kakashi asked, "Flower Girl."
Akahana gave him a look as she punched him in his side, "Yes," she said, "I've got yet another nickname, Kakashi-chan."
"What is it?"
"Not telling," she smiled as she stood up, "Anyways, I gotta go before tou-san starts worrying about me!" she added, "See you t'morrow, Kakashi-chan!"
"Hey! You haven't told me that nickname yet!" he yelled at the girl as she walked away from him.

"I'm not happy with what's going on, Sora," Aoi stated as he stared in his brother's eyes, "I really hate it."
"This upcoming war you speak off?" Yuuki asked from the other side of the living room.
"That too," he said, "But I was talking about the fact your husband is winning this game!"
"Can't handle with loss?"
"Not like this! There's no honour in losing the way I am!"
Aoi, the self-proclaimed shogi-master, was beaten by his younger brother who didn't even like it in the first place. Sora had nearly every single piece he began with, whilst at least half of his were taken.
"I'm home!" a voice suddenly rang out, and Akahana soon showed herself, "Since when do you play shogi, tou-san?"
"Since your uncle over here challenged me," he replied, "And he's obviously losing."
"Otouto, you want a bigger nose?"
"Stop joking about my appearance, nii-san!" Sora exclaimed, "It's getting old."
"I still like to ridicule you that way, therefore, it's not getting old."

As Akahana walked through the streets with Isamu, they came across Kakashi's team having a meal at Ichiraku.
Isamu immediately questioned who everyone was, except for Minato. Minato was a well-known and praised shinobi throughout the nations. "That's Uchiha Obito," Akahana told him as she pointed at the dark haired boy, "Nohora Rin," she added, pointing at the girl. She then pointed at her silver haired friend, "and Hatake Kakashi-chan."
"Does he like the way you talk about him?" the thirteen year old asked.
"Oi, Flower Girl!" Kakashi called out, "Aren't you supposed to be training?"
Akahana moved closer to him and his team, "Shinobi do need days off, even genin," she told him, "Besides, I was showing Isamu around," she added, gesturing towards her cousin, "I wouldn't want him getting lost here."
"Surprise attack!" a voice roared from behind. Akahana ducked before Naoki could hit her. He landed in a pile of garbage, but stood up soon after.
"That wasn't much of a surprise attack..." Isamu muttered, "You'd think a twelve year old could outwit an eight year old."
"What did you say?!" Naoki exclaimed, "I can totally outwit her!"
"Then why were you screaming?" Kakashi asked.
"I..." Naoki started, "uh..."
"There you are!" Mako said as he moved closer to the rest. He had been looking for Naoki for a while now, he was going to get in trouble if Naoki were to cause it. Sometimes, it was as if he was babysitting him.

Later that afternoon, Akahana was training with Isamu, when Obito showed up on the training ground, "We need to talk," he said to the girl.
"All right then," she said with a smile, "What do you want to talk about?"
"Kakashi."
Akahana didn't like where this was going. Obito's view on Kakashi was anything but positive. However, she managed to keep smiling, "Fire away."
"Why are you so nice to him?" Obito asked, "How can you even stand being around him?!"
"Simple, we're friends."
Obito laughed, he didn't believe it, how could someone like Kakashi have made friends with someone like Akahana. He would get annoyed by people like her, "And how did that happen?"
"You know, he's not that bad, once you have a good conversation with him."
"I can't believe you," Obito muttered, "How could you be defending someone like him?!"
"Because he has a reason to be such an ass," Akahana replied, "What would you do if--"
She didn't finish her sentence as Obito didn't seem to care. He was already walking away from the two Kobayashis.
"Geez, is he always like that?" Isamu asked.
