Special chapter #1 The meeting

A fifteen year old Kobayashi Sora walked through the woods with his brother Aoi. They were heading towards Konoha, where they were supposed to go to deliver a message to the Hokage and Sora had already decided he was going to stay a bit longer to explore the village and its surroundings.

In order for him not to stay for too long, Aoi let him look around while he did as he was told. Sora took his time and ultimately ended up near a playground, where he noticed a girl being pestered by a boy.

"Stop it!" the girl exclaimed, growing angry and frustated for not being able to do anything about. She was just a civilian and the bully was a chunin.

When he didn't stop, Sora made the rash decision to put an end to it, knowing it could very well backfire, "You heard her, baka," he stated.

"Who are you? I have never seen you before," the boy retorted, his hands in his pocket as he moved towards Sora.

"My name is Kobayashi Sora, I'm from Kiri," he replied, "I will not stand for this injustice!"

The boy snickered, "You think you can take me? With those flowers?" he asked, eyeing the basket with flowers.

Sora put the basket on the ground and rolled up his sleeves, "No, but I do have fists."

Sora proved to be not as incompetent as most people would think. The fifteen year old chunin he stood up against highly underestimated him, which resulted in him losing the fight between the two boys.

He left when he realised he couldn't win against the boy. He had only just made it to chunin and he wasn't exactly the strongest. It probably had more to do with his guts, which often made him do stupid and reckless things.

"Thank you," the girl said when Sora helped her up.

"I'm Sora by the way," Sora introduced himself, "but you probably heard me say it before."

The girl chuckled, he made a pretty good first impression in her opinion, he seemed to be a funny guy with an equal amount of courage. "My name is Yuuki," she said, "What brings you here, Kobayashi Sora from Kiri?"

Sora scratched the back of his head, growing embarrassed with the way he had introduced himself to the bully, "My brother had to deliver a scroll to the Hokage and I wanted to tag along to explore the surroundings and flowers here."

"You really like flowers, don't you?"

"Obviously, Yuuki-chan."

"You're kinda cute as well, Flower Boy," Yuuki told him with a smile.

Sora blushed, a smile decorating his face.

The two of them spent more time together and it was only natural for the boy to want to stay longer. Aoi had seen it coming, only he thought he was only staying for its surroundings and flowers.

Little did he know the amount of time he spent exploring wasn't as much as he would have thought. Neither did he expect to hear he might actually stay permanently, promising to keep in touch.

Sora, what does Konoha have that Kiri doesn't? Well, not me. I honestly feel offended you prefer a bunch of flowers over your own flesh and blood.

But, since I know there's no way I can convince you to come back, I hope you'll feel at home in Konoha. I hope you're being welcomed with open arms and that you'll find someone to grow old with (if you can't manage that, I suggest taking a cat or two)

And one more thing, don't forget about us, will you? Don't forget to visit either when you get the chance.

Aoi
