One more year had passed when there was a treaty with Suna, Kumo and even Kiri had agreed on peace between the two villages.
The only Hidden Village Konoha was still in war with was Iwagakure, but Akahana felt like that was going to come to an end soon.
They had been able to make peace with Kiri after all, bearing in mind the hatred they felt towards many Leaf shinobi.
"It took me being hospitalised for two months to get to that point!" Aoi exclaimed, "Let's hospitalise the one responsible for this disagreement with Iwa."
Mizuko chuckled, shaking her head, "I'm afraid war doesn't always work that way," she mused, "No offence to your great addition in manpower during those months."
Aoi remained silent while he looked at his smirking wife in awe, "It wasn't my fault they went that far."
Mizuko patted him on the head like he was a child, "Aoi-kun, you and I both know you've given them way too many reasons to despise you."
Akahana and Isamu were both watching the conversation between the two in silence, not wanting to miss a single thing they could use against them someday.
"Did you memorise that one?" Isamu questioned his cousin after hearing something intestering about his own father.
"I will never forget that one," she assured him.
"Good."

Days passed, days which included a lot of fighting, but a lot of precious time spent with friends and family as well.
"Aka-chan!" Naoki sang when they were walking through Konoha, Mako on Naoki's back, "Let's do something fun before those Iwa nin can be total buzz kills again."
"I like that idea," Akahana stated, "What do you suggest, Tree Boy-sama?" She grinned when Naoki attempted to hit her with a punch while remaining gentle for Mako, "Why is Mako even on your back?"
"Because Naoki-baka here believes I'm too weak to walk and that I should save up my energy in case an enemy--"
"Booh!" a voice suddenly rang out from the bushes, causing Naoki to jump up, which resulted in Mako falling off his back not all too gracefully.
"How is this supposed to make me save up my strength?" he questioned, "If anything, I might just end up in the hospital because of you."
Gai, wearing his usual green attire and a ridiculous green hat shaped like a leaf emerged from the bush, laughing his ass off, "You should have seen your face!" he exclaimed happily, "Pay up, Kakashi."
Kakashi appeared next to the boy, handing him some money, "That's it, no more optimism for me."
"What?!" Gai exclaimed, "But your misplaced optimism is a gold mine!"
Akahana looked at the two boys in front of her in confusion. First of all, Kakashi being an optimist? She would have never thought that was even possible in this universe. Second of all, what kind of bet did they even make and why? And lastly, Kakashi deliberately spending time with Gai without her to persuade him?
"Am I the only one who's confused as shit?" Mako thought out loud.
Akahana and Naoki both shook their heads as the two rivals walked away after a short conversation with the trio, "Is this a sign that the world is coming to an end?" Naoki questioned.
"Are we even in the right dimension?" Akahana added.
Inoichi and Chouza were watching as Shikaku was playing shoji with Akahana and he even seemed to be on the losing side.
