I walked into the room where everyone was. They were deciding what to have for dinner, most of them were saying pizza. I'd be fine with pizza. I saw Beau was looking at me smiling like I was a little kid. I probably looked small in these clothes.
"Mari, you look so cute!" Jordane shouted. The other girls nodded. Mallory was now sitting with them.
"Thanks." I walked over near everyone. I didn't know who to sit beside. I decided it would be safest to sit with the girls, not Beau. I don't want to be too clingy.
"So, pizza?!" Daniel shouted, jumping off the couch. He sat beside Jenny, put his hand on her leg and then kissed her cheek. I sighed. I had to get over him. And honestly, it didn't seem like it would be that hard. I was starting to like Beau. He was really sweet, cute, and he might even like me back. I'd always be a bit of a Daniel girl, but right now I was being drawn to Beau. I looked at Beau, who was on his phone.
"Pizza's good!" Jai said. Everyone else nodded.
"Are you okay with pizza, Mari?" James asked.
"Of course I am!" I said, "Who doesn't like pizza?"
"True say, girl!" Luke added, "Someone call for pizza!"
"I'm on it!" Beau held up his phone and then started dialing the pizza place. After the call, he looked up at us, "Now we wait."
Six hours later
It was around 10pm and everyone was full from all the pizza we ate. We decided to watch scary movies. The boys were picking the movies and the girls were setting up a movie-watching-station. They piled cushions, blankets and pillows on the floor to make a comfy bed type area.
"Done!" Kat exclaimed. She sat on the cushions and got comfy. James came up beside her to cuddle. Then Jai came over and sat down, he pulled Jordane down on his lap and was hugging her from behind. I was just standing there alone watching all of this. Luke sat beside Mallory and Daniel was lying down with his head in Jenny's lap. Beau put in the movie and sat down on the cushions. He looked up and me and patted the seat beside him. I sat, of course, but I didn't sit very close. I didn't want it to be awkward. It was though because everyone was sitting together and cuddling, then Beau and me were sitting kind of alone. It would work nicely if we were together.
I don't even know what movie we were watching, but we were about halfway through now and everyone was still cuddling. Even more now because of the scary parts from before.
"Are you scared?" Beau whispered to me.
I laughed a little, "Nope, are you?" I loved scary movies, they didn't scare me very often.
"Maybe a bit." He admitted.
"Aw, poor Beau. I'll protect you." I said to him. I don't know why I said it, it just came out. But now I felt really shy again. I never say things so direct or bold to people that I don't know well, I don't know where that came from. I guess I was feeling more comfortable around the janoskians, which was weird because that sounds impossible. They're the janoskians, how can you act calm around them?
"Sounds like a plan." Beau smiled. What a cutie. He moved a bit closer to me and I pretended not to notice, even though I did, and I was very nervous but happy about it. I really wanted something to happen between us, but not really right now with everyone in the room. I was already awkward enough. I saw him slightly smiling out of the corner of my eye. We continued watching the movie like that.
After the movie, everyone was tired. The boys left to their rooms to sleep, I don't know where James and Daniel were sleeping. They were probably sharing beds, I don't know. The girls and I were still sitting on the cushion bed still, we would probably sleep here, it was big enough.
"I saw you and Beau sitting together." Jenny said.
"Yeah, you're super cute together!" Jordane added.
"Um, thanks I guess. Nothing's really happened though and it probably won't." I replied.
"Oh come on, I don't even know you and I think you'd be perfect for him." Mallory said. I haven't actually introduced myself to her yet.
"I'm Mari, by the way. You're Mallory, right?" I asked.
"Yup, that's me!" She smiled.
"I'm tired, can we sleep?" Kat asked.
"I guess so, we'll talk about Bari later." Jordane smiled.
"Bari?" Jenny asked.
"Beau and Mari's ship name!" Kat guessed.
"Yeah, Kat!" Jordane said.
I laughed, "We have a ship name now?"
"Of course, we all have ship names," Mallory said, "Lallory, Janiel, Jamlyn, Jaidane and now Bari."
"Okay, sure!" I smiled. This must be what friends felt like. I've smiled a lot tonight, it was great. I wasn't lonely for once.
"You do like Beau, right? It seems like it." Jenny asked. I don't know if she actually wanted to know or if she wanted me away from Daniel.
"I don't know, I guess, yeah." I liked all of the janoskians. I'd date any of them in a heartbeat, they were all perfect and sweet. But I had to admit, Beau was standing out to me now. I don't know if it was because he was the only single janoskian or if it was because he might like me.
"Seems like he likes you, I saw him move closer to you during the movie!" Kat said.
"Aw, did he really? He does like you, I know it!" Mallory said.
"I guess. I hope so. I can't imagine dating a janoskian, I would cry." I laughed.
"That's what we all said before, but now look at us!" Jordane said.
"So you guys really started as fans?" I asked. I wanted to know if I really had a chance with Beau.
"Yup, every one of us." Jenny pointed to them. "Anyways, I'm tired, so goodnight!"
I smiled, I did have a chance with Beau. Maybe. "Goodnight." Everyone else said goodnight and moved around the cushion bed to get comfortable. I laid down at the end of the bed. Beau's clothes were so comfy and warm. They smelled like him too. It was nice. I closed my eyes and tried to fall asleep.
It was a while later and I think all the girls were asleep. I was half asleep, but then I heard a noise. I was just paranoid, I was always scared sleeping somewhere I don't know. Then I heard it again. It was like a small creak. Like someone was walking around the-
"AHHHHHHH!" Daniel suddenly screamed. I heard the rest of the boys laughing and shouting along. I screamed and sat up quickly, I heard the girls scream too. "Got you!" He said.
"What the hell?!" Jenny shouted.
"We scared you! HA!" Luke said while he laughed. I heard Beau laughing hysterically.
"WHY DID YOU DO THAT?" Kat yelled.
"It was hilarious!" James said.
"I wish we could have seen your faces, but it's too dark!" Jai laughed.
I was just sitting there trying to calm myself down. That really scared me.
"You okay, Mari? Sorry for that, we always do something at these sleepovers, you just got caught in it because you stayed!" Beau was still laughing.
"Um, I'm fine." I laughed, "You guys gave me a heart attack!"
"Good!" Luke shouted.
The boys walked back to their rooms laughing, Beau looked back at me and smiled right before he went into his room. I smiled back and watched him walk away.
