Everyone looked around at each other and slowly nodded in agreement. Looks like we were about to play truth or dare. The thought made me nervous. The only questions anyone asked for truth were about who you liked, and the only dares were to kiss someone. I guess I should be excited about the chance to kiss a Janoskian, but I really didn't want to now that I knew them as friends. Especially since three out of five had girlfriends, one just went through a breakup, and the other one I actually did like. If anything ever happened between Beau and I, I wouldn't want our first kiss to be from some game of truth or dare. Though I doubt anything would happen. I have the worst luck, especially when it comes to boys.

"Are you in, Mari?" Jai asked. I noticed everyone was already forming a little circle on the floor, and I was just standing there lost in my thoughts.

"Uh, I don't know. Truth or dare isn't really my thing." I lied. Honestly, I've never actually played it. I guess that's what happens when you have no friends. Of course I knew how to play, the rules were simple, but the game itself made me nervous.

"Come on! You have to! Even Luke is playing!" James whined. Luke looked up at the mention of his name but just nodded.

Everyone was looking at me, waiting for my decision. I sighed, and sat down in the circle between Kat and Jordane. James was beside Kat, then it was Daniel, Jenny, Beau, Luke, Bella, Jai and back to Jordane on my other side. Beau was directly across from me in the circle. Everyone cheered when I sat down to play, and I just smiled nervously. Why was I even nervous? It was a simple game of truth or dare. I was such a freak.

"Who's first?" Jenny asked.

"I'll start." Luke said. It kind of surprised everyone because he seemed so normal. As soon as Bella showed up, he didn't even seem to remember the breakup with Mallory. "Kat, truth or dare?"

"Dare!" Kat exclaimed.

"I dare you to go do seven minutes in heaven with James." Luke said.

"That's easy." James laughed. They both got up and walked across the room into a closet.

"Daniel, truth or dare?" Beau asked.

"Obviously dare!" Daniel answered.

"I dare you to strip in front of everyone!" Beau said. Everyone laughed and cheered as Daniel stood up. Jenny looked really amused. Daniel got up onto the couch and began to remove his clothes. I wasn't sure if he was even going to stop until he sat back down still wearing boxers. These dares must have been so easy for them, they're the Janoskians, they strip in public anyway.

"Mari!" I heard my name and snapped back into reality. It was Jor who said my name. "Truth or dare?"

"Um...Truth?" I said, unsure of myself. Everyone booed me, but I'd rather not strip in front of everyone.

"Hmm." Jor put her finger on her chin, thinking. She wasn't going to ask me who I liked, was she? I think she already knew I liked Beau, but would she make me say it in front of him? I tried to think of what to say if she asked me that, but instead she said, "What's the farthest you've gone with a guy?"

I instantly regretted saying truth. I felt embarrassed about my answer. But it was too late. "Uh. Just kissing." I said quietly while shrugging.

"That might change by the end of this game!" Jenny laughed. I knew she was right. Truth or dare with the janoskians probably got pretty extreme.

"Someone ask something!" Beau said.

"Luke, truth or dare?" Jai asked.

"Dare." Luke said. I expected all the boys to say dare. Actually, I'm probably the only one here who would say truth. I was so lame.

I saw Jor whisper something to Jai, and he nodded. "I dare you to kiss any of the girls." He said. I smiled. Obviously he was going to kiss Bella. She was right beside him and everyone else was taken. Except me. But it was obvious he would kiss Bella.

Luke was hesitant at first. Giving him the choice of what girl probably made it a bit more awkward because that girl would know he picked her over the others. Luke shrugged and turned to Bella. Luke quickly leaned in and kissed her. On the cheek. On the cheek? No one said anything but you could tell everyone was disappointed.

There were a few more dares which went on for about twenty minutes. Everyone kept getting distracted between dares, so it took longer than it should have. Jai kissed Daniel's toe, Jor and Jai made out for one minute in front of everyone, Jenny had to kiss Beau, which Daniel didn't enjoy, and then it was Beau's turn. Of course he chose dare.

"Beau, I dare you to..." Bella thought for a minute. "I dare you to kiss Mari." Everyone smiled and watched to see the kiss.

"Oh, yeah, sure." Beau said awkwardly. He was acting like it was no big deal, but everyone could tell he was nervous. And I didn't know why. He slowly made his way across the circle to me. I felt my face get hot. I hoped it wasn't red. He half smiled at me before slowly leaning in. It was going to happen. He was going to kiss me. In front of everyone.

BANG!

Beau quickly pulled away. Without the kiss. Everyone looked over to the closet where the noise came from. The door opened and James and Kat walked out laughing.

"Holy crap, you guys were still in there?" Jenny asked.

Kat nodded, "Yeah, why? How long has it been?"

"Over twenty minutes!" Jor laughed.

"Wow, you guys, that must have been some serious make out session!" Bella said. Everyone nodded. They were all watching Kat and James who were still laughing.

I looked back at Beau, who was still beside me. He noticed so he turned to face me. He shrugged and went back across the circle to his spot. He wasn't going to kiss me. Everyone forgot about the dare. In one way, I was happy that I didn't have to kiss him in front of everyone. But I was also majorly disappointed. I acted casual, like nothing happened, even though it bothered me. A lot.
