I woke up the next day with a headache. I was in my room, in my bed, all tucked in. I don't remember coming home, but then again I didn't remember a lot from last night. Except for the Jake thing. I think Jake got the message that I didn't want to be with him though. I sat up a bit too fast because it made my headache worse. Stupid alcohol. My eyes were still half closed because, well, I just woke up and I was tired. I slowly stood up. I shuffled across my floor for a few seconds before I tripped over something. I fell onto the floor in front of me. I winced and held my head for a second. That didn't help. I turned my head to see what I tripped on. Or rather who I tripped on...

"What the hell?" I asked. "Why are you here?"

I watched a sleepy Beau open his eyes slowly. Was he asleep on my floor? What the heck?

"Why'd you trip on me?" He said in a hoarse voice. He had a cute morning voice.

"Isn't the better question why are you on my floor? Why are you even in my house?" I rubbed my eyes to make sure I wasn't imagining things. I was honestly so confused. I was too tired to fully understand there was a Janoskian in my house, so I wasn't fangirling very much.

"Don't you remember?" Beau smirked.

"No, not really." I sighed. I decided to take my face off of the floor and sit up. Beau also sat up.

"You were so drunk last night, Mari. Everyone else was fine, but I guess you couldn't handle the alcohol." He laughed.

Oh god. "That doesn't explain why you're here?" I questioned him.

"The girls wanted me to drive you home. Them and the rest of the boys went back to my place. I know your dad wanted to pick you up but I couldn't call him without his number. So I drove you home. Your dad thanked me and let me bring you up here." Beau explained.

I slowly nodded, I didn't remember last night at all. I was still confused. "Why are you still here?"

Beau laughed awkwardly. "Well.."

"Well?"

"You didn't let me leave." He laughed again.

"What do you mean?" I asked cautiously. What did I do when I was drunk?

"You begged me to stay. Every time I tried to leave you would whine and complain." Beau was grinning.

I widened my eyes. What? Why did I do that? Oh god, he probably thought I was a freak. And I probably looked like shit last night. And right now. "Uh..."

Beau just nodded, I could tell he found this amusing. I just found it embarrassing. "So that's why I'm on your floor." He said.

"Oh." I didn't know what to say.

"You're cute when you're drunk, Mari." Beau laughed.

"Thanks, I guess..."

"Don't be embarrassed, alcohol can bring the worst out in people." Beau said.

"The worst? Was I really that bad?" I joked.

"What! No!" Beau exclaimed, he was worried that he offended me.

"I was joking, Beau." I laughed. It hurt my head but it was worth it. Then my face went serious. "Does my dad know you're here?" I whispered quickly.

"I think so." Beau shrugged like it wasn't a big deal. I guess it really wasn't, but I wasn't used to this kind of stuff happening. My dad would understand anyways. Beau started to stand up. "I guess I should go now. I mean, unless you won't let me leave again." Beau tried to keep from laughing.

"Ha, ha. Very funny." I said sarcastically. I stood up beside him and we walked down the stairs together. I winced on every step though, it hurt my head.

Beau looked back at me and noticed. "You okay?"

"Uh, yeah. Just have a huge headache." I half smiled.

"Hangover." Beau laughed. "Here, I'll help." He suddenly picked me up bridal style and carried me smoothly down the stairs. It was less painful than each step I took that caused a pounding in my head. He put my down at the bottom of the stairs and laughed. "There." He said proudly.

"Thanks, Beau." I smiled. I looked up into his eyes before realizing how close we were. His face was only two inches from mine. I stared into his beautiful green eyes and he stared back. It was cute until he suddenly stepped back.

"Um. I'm sorry." He immediately said. He avoided eye contact.

"What?" I asked. It was a bit awkward but I ignored it.

"You have a boyfriend." He quickly said. Huh? How did he come up with that?

"Wait, since when? No I don't." I answered.

"I saw you two last night.." Beau looked at me again. Oh!

"Oh, Jake?" I laughed. He just nodded. "Jake isn't my boyfriend." I explained.

"You kissed him though?"

"He kissed me. I told him I wasn't interested.." I laughed quietly. Then it got awkward again.

"Oh." Beau scratched the back of his head.

"Yeah, haha..Why does it matter?" I asked. I was hoping he would say it was because he was in love with me or something, but I knew better than that. He wouldn't say it.

"Never mind." Beau forced a smile.

How did Beau, a Janoskian, go from being super confident to awkward and nervous when he was around me?

"I better go." He said. He started walking towards the door.

"Thank you." I smiled.

He turned around, looking confused. "For leaving?"

"No, for bringing me home last night." I laughed.

Then I saw Beau's normal, breath taking smile. "Any time, Mari."

I watched him walk outside to his car and leave. I waved to him, then closed the door to my house and sighed. I looked at the stairs where Beau and I stood together only five minutes ago. We were so close to kissing. I kind of wish it did happen. I wonder if he did too?
