"It's a beautiful day outside, birds are singing.....flowers are blooming....on days like these, monsters like us....should be free from this Curse!" The royal scientist swung his arms across his working desk, knocking over his hot coffee. He's tall and straight and strict.
His assistant caught the melamine mug before it hits the tiled floor. "Careful sir, I get it that you talking in hands....but this place isn't exactly up to speed." He smiled at his mentor.
The doctor kindly smiled back. "Yes why, thank you, Sans."
"How are things going, G?"
The tall skeleton grumbled. "Not very well...my experiments are not working..." G gestured to the two giant test-tube-like containers. And in those containers, they contain two skeletons; one short, one tall. The short one seems to have mildly open her eyes.
"You were saying...?" Sans pointed at her.
G looked up at her and smiled. "Her soul manifested first....she's the older one."
"G, that sure was a long night....wasn't it?"
G groaned "Stop joking around, Sans...." his hands jerked backwards, almost hitting Sans in the face, but he ducked down as they missed.
Sans looked into her eye-sockets for a brief moment then turned to the doctor.
"You are quite the attractive one, aren't you?" Said G, smiling up at her. She can't speak or understand their language, she tilted her skull to the side. "Even my lab assistant got distracted." He chuckled.
"Hey!" Sans flailed his arms and blushed.
There's a sudden knock and tapping on the glass, it was the other one....he opened his eye-sockets and glanced around the room. The female whirled around to see him.
"The other one's awake..."
G nodded. "Release the sleeping serum, sedate them."
Sans pressed a green button and bubbles start to form inside the tubes. The two of them struggled, trying to get out of the tubes. The female almost broke the glass by the pounding of her fists. She screamed inaudibly before she passed out.
"Put the girl in cell 166 and the boy in 165, the real tests start tomorrow...." G ordered.
Sans nodded and get to work. "These experiments are to be used on the lab-rats....the ones that share the same kind and race as me. was this.....really the right thing to do...?" He thought to himself as he glanced back at G. "Well....he is Gaster after all, the royal scientist..." He scoffed as he huddled the female subject out of the glass tube and carried her in his arms to cell no. 166.
The girl opened her eye-sockets to find herself in a room with four walls surrounding her and a bed against one of them. She crawled around, wondering....she climbed onto the bed and grabbed the pillow. She ripped out the stuffing and made it fly all over the place. The first emotion she has....was joy. She giggled...well, this was her first time giggling. She played around with the stuffing....rolled over it, stepped on it....even chew on it.
Footsteps echoed....they're getting closer. She scrambled away from the exit and backed against the wall opposite of it. Fear....gripped hold of her. The cell door opens and a small skeleton like herself, walked in. He was wearing a lab coat, holding something delicious smelling in his hands. He carefully approached the scared girl and placed the plate of waffles in front of her. "Eat." He brought his hand to his mouth and repeated the word. "Eat." The girl tilted her head....she doesn't understand.
Sans pointed to the plate of waffles and then pointed to his mouth. "Eat."
The girl took a slice of waffle and slammed it onto his face and repeated his word. "Eat?"
Sans held a hand to his belly and laughed, he shook his head. "No..." he chuckled and gently shove the waffle into her mouth. "Eat."
The girl reflexively chewed on the waffle, the first time she tasted something sweet and delicious. Sans smiled at her. "Heh, the other one hated the waffles...." The girl tilted her skull in confusion. "Don't worry 'bout it....he still gets the best food 'round here..." The girl kept silent and started eating the waffles, using her hands to pick them up and shove them into her mouth. "Whoa, whoa! Slow down there, kiddo.....I don't want you chokin' on the sweet." he tried to stop her from eating fast.
She coughed and choked, her first tears came out. Sans pat her on the back to force the food out of her throat. It worked....but the girl was upset. She cried quietly. "Hey, hey, don't cry. Now you're making me cry." He touched her face.
She slapped his hand away and yelled. "BAD!"
"how'd she learn that word?" He backed away slowly.
She yelled the same word at him again "BAD!"
"Alright, alright, sheesh, calm down...." He held up his hands in a defensive position.
She glared and growled at him. "Bad..."
"Okay, okay, I'm bad....happy?" He frowned.
She paused a short while and pointed at him. "Sans."
"Wait, what?"
"Sans." She learned another word while pointing at him.
His expression seems happy.....she said his name.
"B-but that's my name...! How'd you know my name?!" He got excited.
"Bad.....Sans...." She paused and slowly put the words together. "Bad Sans."
His face turned into a frown again. "Am I really that bad...?"
She pointed an accusing finger at him "Bad Sans!"
He sighed. "Got it..." He scooped the empty plate up and leave the cell, locking the door. The girl mumbled the same phrase over again as he leaves. "Bad Sans..." He mumbled to himself and smirked, "Well, that's progress." He said, holding a file in his hands and left the corridor.
