As her eyes-sockets opened again, Jane found herself being cradled in Matt's arms. He gave her the unforgettable kind smile as he chuckled. "You passed out again." He tapped her cheekbones.
"What in Asgore's name just happened?" She felt confused.
A large furry hand tapped her shoulder. "Don't you know it's rude to simply use the name of others as a swear?" A deep hearty voice boomed from above.
Jane's eye-sockets dimmed as she tried to recover from the shock. "A-Asgore.....f-forgive me, your majesty!" She struggled to get out of Matt's arms and bowed down to the king of monsters.
"Oh-ho-ho! There's not need for such greeting. After all, you deserve much more than a king would."
Jane raised her non-existent brows and looked more confused than ever. "What do you mean by that....?"
"And that is for you to find out." The king strolled forward, his long strides quickly distanced between them. "Follow me."
Jane turned to her lover, who was walking beside her. "What's he talking about?"
Matt mimicked her signiture shrug and grinned. "I guess you'll find out~"
"I don't like not knowing, you know?" She crossed her arms as she walked. They came into a familiar corridor which reminds Jane of the lab in the past. Only, with weird anime posters stuck to each of the walls. They passed by a mini figurine-filled computer desk along with a cute-looking pink-colored trashcan.
"Seems like Alphys re-junked the old lab." She giggled at the thought of that. It somehow seemed funny to her when she compared Gaster to her current scientist friend. While Gaster was around, the atmosphere seemed thick with solitude and strictness. But now, everything's....cute and trashy. Well, sort of....
They followed Asgore into a white room with a plain white bed and mattress. Equipment for laboratory experiments, large computer screens, and odd machines lined up against the walls of the room. Frisk, who was lying on the bed, bounded up and greet them.
"Come and look!" The child took Jane's hand and dragged her to Alphys, who was typing something on the screen which was depicted in wingdings. Jane could read the words very well. "Artificial Human Soul Completed." She squinted her eye-sockets in suspicion.
"What is this all about? Alphys, are you....making another robot?" Jane looked to her friend, who was fiddling with something in her hands. A glass capsule it seems...
"N-no, nothing like that, silly!" Alphys gave her a chiseled smile. She handed the glass capsule to Jane. There was a weird light purple substance floating inside it. "It's f-for you!" She adjusted her round, nerdy glasses.
"It's your soul !" Frisk exclaimed, excited as he was.
"My....soul?" Jane touched where the non-existent heart was and found an upside-down, glowing, heart shaped object. "My soul is right here." She smiled coldly....her smile wasn't like that before. otherwise, no one would've noticed. There's a feeling of tense in the air. The glass capsule felt heavier than before. "What are you implying?"
"W-we thought that i-if we worked together, we can make your dreams come true...." Alphys broke the tension.
"My dream you say?" She smiled wryly as she gripped the capsule tighter.
"Y-yes....." Alphys started to sweat heavily as she felt Jane's cold gaze staring at her.
"You wanted to be human...right?" Matt stepped forward.
