Many years prior to the start of the series, the Lessaenite Empire discovered Earth when one of their dysfunctional spaceships fell into the Pacific Ocean. Since then, the Lessaenites adopted many human customs and ideas, including the English language and lots of human food.

However, certain Lessaenite delicacies are still loved by all. Here are a few that are notable.

Linaberries

Linaberries are the berries of the Lessaenite Lina bush. The bush is abundant and grows on all three planets of the Empire, and therefore, its berries are a common commodity. Linaberry tart is the favorite food of Princesses Tara and Viviana, and Raliyel's sister, Eira, bakes the Glitches Linaberry cake during their stay at Kyanah Creek.

Evverkaf

Evverkaf is a deep purple vegetable similar to an eggplant known for its meaty texture. It is often sliced thinly and fried into chips, and can also be eaten baked. (Of course, people with good taste like it smothered in cheese.) Queen Saralee and Fenorel eat five plates of it during their feels-inducing reunion at Soren Manor.

Nahyev Gum

This gum is a natural sweetener that comes from a plant harvested on Rhena. It hasn't yet been introduced in the series, but will be used in the food at a certain royal wedding, to symbolize harmony between the Lessaenite and Rhenan races...😉
