Chapter Eleven: Alexis is Missing!

Amber P.O.V.

I sighed and looked out the window of the airport. Leslie was about to leave, and my eyes were burning. I was going to miss her! I mean, she's my best friend and I won't be able to see her for another month! It seems like forever from now!

"I'm going to miss you and Alexis,"Leslie said, making me want to cry even more. Alexis wasn't with us, but I bet she would be wanting to cry too. I think.

"M-Me too.."I replied, trying not to burst out in tears. Leslie looked at me and gave me a big hug.

"Flight 5B is now boarding."The speakers said. That was Leslie's flight number!

She got up and I followed her to the gate entrance. She began to walk to the plane.

"Wait."She said, stopping before she went through. She turned around and she was crying. I ran to her and hugged her tight. I felt tears start rolling down my face and I started to bawl.

She patted my back and was crying too. She has been my friend since I was in third grade and now she was going away for another month! I can cry if I want to!

"Ma'am..you have to leave now.."A woman said, ruining the moment. I was guessing that she was staff of the plane because of the short blue dress she had on. Leslie let go of me and looked me in the eyes.

"You make sure to cherish Alexis, OK?"she said, wiping her tears."She's your true friend..don't forget that."

I nodded and she walked away to her plane. She soon disappeared around a corner and I couldn't see her anymore.

I turned around and walked to my mom, who was holding her hands out so that I could hug her. I ran to her and cried into her blue shirt.

My phone buzzed and woke me up from my nap. I rubbed my eyes and grabbed my phone from under my pillow. I saw that Peyton had texted me.

P: Hey, how's it going since Leslie left?

A: Good, but I have a question...

P: Yeah?

A: Yesterday at the sleepover, Leslie wanted to talk about boys..and Alexis said something about me and you..and she got a little..angry..

P: Oh yeah! I forgot to tell you! Me and Leslie are good friends! And she..well told me to keep my hands off you because she knows I'm like that..

A: So you guys are dating or used to date?

P: No! She doesn't like me to be your boyfriend..

A: What did you do?

P: I pranked her and poured a bucket of paint on her head...

A: I see why she doesn't want you near me..

P: But I'm still awesome boyfriend material!

A: What?

P: Nothing!

A: Whatever, I'm gonna go.

P: Later.

I shut off my phone and my mom suddenly burst open my door and stared at me.

"Have you talked to Alexis today?"She said, holding her phone up to her ear."Alexis' mom hasn't seen her all day and she thought that you talked to her or something."

I looked at my phone and saw no texts from Alexis. That's odd. No one has seen her today..where is she?

"No..not at all actually,"I replied, looking back at my mom with a worried face."Is something wrong?"
