Chapter Twelve: Minds

Alexis P.O.V

"Alexis, it's me Clark!" I hear my ex-boyfriend say excited. "Clark, what are you doing here? Your supposed to be in Germany?" I ask him as she joins me skating at a ice skating place. "I came back for Alexis, I-i love you.." He says to me, looking deep into my eyes with his. "Y-you love me..?" I ask his, avoiding eye contact. Woahh..h-he loves me. "Alexis please know this is for us, our relationship, I-i can't lose you again!" He shouts on the vurge of tears. "Clark what do you mean-" I ask him but I'm cut off by him yelling, "THIS IS FOR US!" Panting heavily it pull my covers off and breath in and out continuesly. I sigh, as I turn on my lamp. My eyes agjust to the light and I see Clark in front of my bed, love and posesivness showing in his eyes. "Clark? What are you doing here?" I ask him covering myself up with my blankets standing since im only wearing my pink running shorts and tie die t-shirt. He walks up to me and is smiling big, "Oh god, I've missed you so much!" He says strongly wrapping his arms around me. "I-i've missed you too..Clark.." I muffle in his chest. "Get dressed and we'll go out to eat at The Waffle House." He says smiling at me adoration in his eyes, so cute! I look deeply at him as he walks out of my room to give me privacy to change, I hear him say, "I can't wait for her to always be with me..everywhere i go." I hear Clark say, with relief. I ignore it and change into some clothes.
I'm about to walk out of the bathroom from going potty, washing my hands, and brushing my teeth when Clark stops me. "Wait...I've already told your mom about where I'm taking you, let's just go." He says blocking the entrance to downstairs. "Oh...then how are we going out of the house...?" I ask him, and he points to the window, and I look at him with wide eyes.
We walk onto the roof from my bedroom window and Clark jumps down carefully then yells to me, "Jump! I'll catch you!" I shake my head side to side.His eyes flash with hurt before he quietly says, "You...you don't trust me..?" Of course I just him, "Of course I do, catch me." I sat before grabbing all my might and jumping down. I let out a little scared squeak as I feel the air rushing against my skin, but im quickly stopped by the welcoming arms of Clark.
"Meow!" My cat Arlo meows jumping on me. Whut...?
"Opps we left the window opened..." Clark says looking up at my still opened window. "Opps..." I say as my cat licks my cheek and purrs, as I run my fingers softly against his soft hair. "Umm...I guess we can take Arlo..." Clark says looking at me, I nod. Thankfully The new Waffle House allows cats since that's their mascot or something.
We walk into The Waffle House as we walk off of the bus. We order then sit in a closed off booth, "Guten'tag-" Clark starts about to order our food in German, before I whisper to him, "Clark, we have to say words in English, we're not in Germany." He mouths, "Ooohh.." to me before ordering his blueberry waffle and my strawberry waffle in English. "Soo..why did you leave Germany?" I ask his, slurping curiously on my strawberry milk shake. He looks looks deeply into my eyes before murmuring, "Y-you don't want me here.." He says a little bit harsh. "I never said that! Of course I want you here." I say to his as he gives out a small smile. "Listen I really need to tell you something-" He starts off seriously but is cut off by the waiter. "Here's your food.." The middle-aged women murmers lifelessly, sliding us our delicious waffles. I start gobbling down my waffles until Clark says sternly, "Alexis I need to tell you something." He says to me seriously, and I nod gulping down the remaining strawberry waffles in my mouth. "Yeah..?" I ask, eyeing my one left strawberry waffle that's basically screaming out, "EAT ME!!!!"
I take my eyes off the delicious waffle and try to look seriously at Clark but I can't ignore the delicious waffle, so I quickly shove it in my mouth, yum.

Clark sighs as we walk out of the waffle house from finishing up our breakfast. "What's wrong?" I ask him, worrying a little. "It's just that....I really want to tell you something but like...I don't know..." He murmers. "You can tell me anything Clark." I say softly to him. "Are you sure?" He asks and I nod slowly and give him a reassuring look. "Ok..here goes nothing, I have powers."He says, not walking anymore. I gulp, then blurt out, "Whutt?!"
I stop walking, and her looks away from me then murmurs something as he lifts his hand to me pointing one of his fingers at me, I black out immediately. I open my eyes to see darkness everywhere except for two eye shaped holes showing my house and it coming closer and closer.
"What...?" I say. "Umm..hey Alexis how ya feeling?" I hear Clark say awkwardness and relief showing clear in his voice. I look around for him as his voice echoes bu th he's nowhere to be seen. "C-Clark?! W-where am i?!" I say, worried and feeling scared. "Alexis calm down your safe with me." Clark says in a reassuring voice but I'm still scared out of my mind. "I look around and see a door that's says on Clark's neat handwriting, 'memories.'
I slowly walk towards it, then I'm stopped by Clark yelling, "DON'T GO IN THERE!!" his loud voice echoing loudly, hurting my head, as I fall onto my knees covering my ears. "Oh I'm sorry Alexis." Clark says his voice becoming soft and guilt was showed in his voice. "It's okay Clark." I say slowly getting off my knees and onto my feet. "Listen...Alexis, I gotta do something real quick stay put, and..stay away from the door." Clark says quickly as I look through the eyes to see my bedroom, and hands placing Arlo on my bed, as he meows.
FIVE MINUTES LATER
I'm sitting on the floor, then I hear Clark say, "Alexis your in...my mind" I gasp, confusion and suprise showing clear in my voice, I black out.

My eyes open to see me in my room, I stand up from my bed to see a sticky note on my Little table next to my bed, it says in Clark's neat handwriting, "be right back -Clark"
I walk out of my room, really confused. As I walk downstairs stairs I see a sticky note on railing on the stairs it says, "Don't tell anyone about what has happened or you or let anyone try to figure out anything about you and your missing family or you won't see your mother or brother again.. -Clark" My heart starts beating fast as I look for my family, THEY ARE ALL GONE! But my dad's is probably at work, but where is my mom and siblings!!! I sit down and start massaging the sides of my head, trying to get rid if my major headache. I grab a sticky note and write to Amber telling her on the sticky note, I tell her everything will be alright and that she shouldn't look for me, u stick it on the fridge, as j walk back upstairs I faint.
I wake up in the black room with the two big eye shaped eyes and door that is labeled ,'memories.'
It's silent, I get bored after nine minutes, and begin to get curious about the door labeled memories. I walk towards it, and push the door open, I'm blinded by the room that clouded with brightness and clouded images floating around me in a square sized shaped. I look at one of them and see Clark's mom in a hospital bed, holding Clark's baby sister's Cristina and Camilla. Clark's voice immediately flashes in my head saying, "your in my mind."
"This must be where his memories are.." I softly whisper out loud, I'm about to step out of the room avoiding to invade Clark's privacy, When I hear, "Hi I'm Alexis who are you?" I hear, it's me when I first met Clark in kindergarten....
"U-um, h-hi i-im Cl-Clark!" I hear young Clark stutter to me, shyly. I look at the box shaped TV looking thing and see a small short little girl with dark brown pigtails, black glasses, a pink pug shirt and gray skirt with pink flats. "Alexis! Where are you!?" I hear Clark shout worried. "Yeah!" I yell back running out of the room. "W-where were you?" I hear him ask.
"Um..just e-exploring.." I say to him my voice cracking a little when I said exploring. "Oh.." I hear him say, his voice full if curiosity, but he pushes it away when he says, " I gotta...umm..tell you something really important." I hear his voice squeak yet still in his now manlyish voice. "Uhh..yah.?" I ask.

I walk to myself, holding back tears, I ring Amber's doorbell. "Who is it-" I hear Amber mumble tiredly. She gasps as she sees me, "Al-Al-Alexis!!!! W-where have y-you've been!?" He stutters out, strongly hugging me tightly as if u would disappear forever if she let go. "U-um..I-i need to talk to you..c-can I come inside?" I say to her my voice cracking while big uncontrolled tears burst out of my eyes. Amber nods, also crying but not as much as me, but I know something she doesn't. "JACKIE, JACK, TOBY!!!" I
Yell out, my voice high and squeaky and I grab Toby into one my arms, as I strongly hug the twins, tears streaming out of my eyes uncontrollably. "LEXIE!!!!" I hear the twins squeal excitingly. "I-i need to te-tell u-" I start, sniffling trying to push away my tears, but when I see The twins and Toby's excited face, I crack, tears painfully coming out. I run to the couch, crying my eyes out. Clark is going to make me leave my friends and family to stay with him in his mind for the rest of my life, unless I want to never ever see my mom and older brother.
"I-i have to leave f-forever, I-i'll miss you all!" I yell to Amber, Amber's mom, Toby, the twins, my voice cracking as I said I'll miss you all, as I run out of the house, leaving everyone speechless in confusion, sadness, and worry. As I run away, running on Amber's street, I black out, once again in Clark's mind...
