Katie and I walked in like casual kids. Until I see my mom and Hayley talking and laughing.
I walk over there with Katie.
"What are you guys talking about?" I ask politely.
"Oh just how this was a prank and how you fell for it. Hayley didn't write anything true in that journal, and she never died. I drove her to the old house just for this prank! Good right?" My mom laughs.
"GOOD?!? I WAS SO UPSET! I LOST A FRIEND BECAUSE OF THAT JOURNAL!! I WAS RIGHT! MOM YKU HAVE GONE INSANE. And Hayley... I never ever would think you would do something like this!" I tell them. After I finished I just ran. I ran and cried until Katie stopped me.
"Annie... I swear I didn't know!" Katie comforts me.
"I know... I just don't know what to do. I really don't. I got tricked that my sister died. I swear my mom needs help..." I say hugging Katie.
"What about your dad?" Katie asks.
"My dad is just a f*cking alcoholic who wants nothing to do with anyone, but himself. He was never like that until... HAYLEY "DIED"! Does my dad know about the prank? Or did he really think Hayley was dead?" I ask.
"Annie, I don't know..." Katie starts to cry with me.
"What do we do?" I ask Katie.
"I don't really know!" Katie answers.
"Wait if this was a prank, what about my friends Kenzie and Liz?"
