            Kids stood anxiously, looking for their parents. Cody stood in a group with his friends. Jake smiled and waved. A man with dark hair who looked exactly like Jake except for his mustache and a woman with long dark hair walked over. “Mom, dad, this is Cody and Remi. You didn’t meet them last year. Cody’s my new roommate.”

            The two shook hands with Cody and Remi, smiling kindly. Jake waved and followed his parents over to the refreshments table to talk and eat.

            “Nick, there you are!” A man with the same curly hair gave Nick a hug from behind. Nick smiled. “Hey dad, where are mom and Bruce?” Nick’s father laughed. “Looking for you.” He grabbed Nick’s hand and walked with him.

            “You guys, over here!” A woman with long dark hair and blue eyes waved at the group of friends.Tylergrinned and walked over to her. Eve looked at D who shrugged. Eve walked over to the woman. Cody would finally find out who D’s parents were. He nearly gasped when the woman hugged Tyler and Eve. They were related?

            He nearly fainted when the woman beckoned to D. He sighed with irritation and slowly walked over. The woman tried to hug him but he shoved her and crossed his arms.

            “Weird, right?” Ross said. “Weird that they’re all related,” Joss said. Cody nodded, still stunned.

            “Ross, Joss, there you are!” A couple with blond hair waved at the twins who grinned at Cody. “See ya,” they said. They walked over to receive hugs.

            That left Cody, Skylar, and Remi. Remi moved closer to Cody. Cody wondered if Skylar’s parents even cared to come.

            “Skylar? You’ve gotten taller since I saw you in the summer!” An old woman walked over to Skylar. He nodded, still emotionless. The woman had gray hair and many wrinkles, but kind brown eyes. She and Skylar walked away from Remi and Cody a little.

            Cody felt his mouth open when Skylar pulled his hands out of his pockets and hugged the woman. The woman pulled out an envelope and said something. Skylar opened it and scanned it with his eyes. Cody almost screamed.

            A huge happy smile was on Skylar’s face as he hugged the letter to his chest.

            He began to talk to the woman, probably his grandmother. She nodded and smiled the whole time. So did Skylar.

            “Remi, sweetie.” A woman with the same features as Remi walked over and hugged him. A man was behind her. He had light red hair. He smiled and hugged Remi.

“Come with us Remi, we need to talk about a few things,” the man said. Remi’s smile slipped and he took both his parent’s hands and walked out of sight with them.
