Part 14: Agreement

While the four of us were walking away slowly because the truck is too heavy even for four people pushing it. Maurice looked back at Danyelle, he saw Danyelle and Anthony looking on us. Sadness covered their faces, but then Maurice stopped pushing the truck and just stood on his spot. I looked at Maurice then everyone stopped pushing the truck.

Maurice: "......"

Vanessa: "Don't tell me you feel bad now."

Maurice: "I do... I do feel bad."

Danyelle ran to Maurice to give him a big hug. I stood stiff. Leonard crossed his arms. We just looked at each other. I know Danyelle and Anthony wanted to go across the street, some of us just wont agree for safety. Danyelle and Anthony's idea is for safety too. Which is which.. We just cant decide. 

Danyelle: "Please guys just trust me on this."

Anthony: "Yeah me too. Come on guys just once please."

Vanessa: "And what if we get harmed huh?"

Leonard: "What about the family back home?" "What will they do if something bad happens to us?"

Juan: "They cant possibly go here in the city for food right." 

Maurice: "Yes."

Anthony: "Guys you overthink too much."

Danyelle: "Nothing bad will happen to us guys. We're all a team right?"

Vanessa: "Well earlier we weren't."

Danyelle: "Please just once."

In the first place what we were fighting about is when Danyelle saw an apartment across the street, one of its windows had light inside. There are people there obviously. She wanted to go there for the night since we don't know if we will all be safe in the abandoned park. She was scared and desperate for shelter.

I just wanted to go home back to the island again, but we're kilometers away from the pier and the truck had no gas. Leonard, Maurice and Juan all wanted the same thing as me. but Danyelle and Anthony had something else in mind. Now its time to decide which is which.

Stick to Danyelle and Anthony's idea or try to go home...

Leonard: "Lets just go with Danyelle."

Vanessa: "Oh my god."

Maurice: "Lets just try okay."

Danyelle: "Come on guys"
She said as she walks to the apartment building.

Vanessa: "Ugh. Fine."
I followed.

Anthony: "Alright."
He smiled.

We all went to the apartment building and went to the fourth floor where we saw the light. The building was so creepy with its dark hallways and flickering lights. Sounds echoing along with us as we walk. We got to the door quietly, we didn't knock on the door because there could be zombies inside the building. We weren't sure. We were just holding and pointing our guns.

Danyelle: "What do we do now?"
She whispered.

Vanessa: "I don't know girly. This is your bright idea."

Maurice: "Jesus."

Juan: "Will you guys stop it! Yeah we're not going to knock but your voices are going to get us all killed!!"
He whispered angrily.

Leonard: "Alright alright chill out!!"
He whispered.

Maurice chuckled at that time. Honestly we all fight like dogs all the time, sometimes its just becoming funny. We just got used to it. The door opened and we saw a girl with brown wavy hair, fair skinned, beautiful eyes, just about our age.

Girl: "Who are you guys."

Vanessa: "Can we just stay for the night please. Our friend here is scared."

Girl: "So am I. Why do you all have guns."
She said as she looks at the guys.

Vanessa: "Protection from what's out there."

Girl: ".... Come in."

We came inside her apartment, the guys sat on the couch while I stand by them.

Vanessa: "I'm sorry. May I know your name?"

Girl: "I'm Emily. what's yours?"

Vanessa: "I'm Vane. nice to meet you Emily."
I smiled.

Emily: "How about the others."

Vanessa: "Oh this is Leonard, that's Maurice, Juan, Anthony and Danyelle."

Emily: "Nice to meet all of you. I rarely see people here. This is actually the first time people came here."

Danyelle: "Yeah. You don't know what we went through just to go inside this building."
