The Apocalypse

Part 10: One Down!

I quickly rushed to the second floor, I looked around. There! I saw Leonard and the others by the food court. 

Vanessa: "Come on Elle!"
I said while pulling her.

Danyelle: "Whats all the fuss about?!" "Slow down!"

Vanessa: "Hey guys!" 
I smiled.

Danyelle: "Yeah they saw you Van" 
She smiled.

Leonard: "Hey Van you beautiful thing"

Vanessa: "I'm not a thing"

Danyelle: "Haha you guys"

Maurice looked at Danyelle as if a beam of light was shining down on her. Like me earlier, he also got stunned by her beauty. I sat next to Leonard, I looked around and saw Anthony eating an instant noodle. I stood up and got some for myself as well. As I was trying to pick what flavor of instant noodle I was gonna eat. I thought to myself "where's Jino?"

I looked around, I was already panicking in my mind, then I saw him with a big bag and something on his hand. There was a big glass behind Juan, before if you look over this you'd see a beautiful view, but now you'd only see emptiness and those horrid zombies.

Juan: "Hey look! Guys! a replica of Harley Quinn's bat from suicide squad last 2016!"

Vanessa: "HUH?!! LET ME SEE!"
I ran to Jino

Juan: "No!" 
he said pulling the bat away.

Vanessa: "LET ME SEE!!!"
I said as I pull the bat from his hands

Juan: "I SAID NO!!"

He pulled the bat away but non of us got a grip of it so it flew away, breaking the glass window. 

Vanessa: "LOOK WHAT YOU'VE DONE!!"
I said with a tone.

Juan: "IT'S YOUR FAULT!!!"
He yelled.

Maurice: "KIDS!!! STOP FIGHTING!!!"

Leonard: "LOOK AT WHAT YOU TWO DID!!!"

Anthony: "Oh sh*t!"

Danyelle grabbed on to Mau's shirt while she looked at the mall entrance. Everyone was looking at me and Juan but a second later looked at where Danyelle was looking. 

Danyelle: "ZOMBIIIIEEESSS!!!"

Everyone froze for a moment, until Maurice started shooting the zombies coming closer. Leonard started shooting as well. I looked at Juan and saw tears falling down his cheeks. It's not his fault. He looked at me and ran away to the back exit. Danyelle ran towards me, so I stayed with them. I grabbed my grenade, pulled the pin and threw it at the mall entrance. 

Vanessa: "TAKE COVER!"
I said pulling Danyelle down.

Danyelle was already crying that time because she panicked, she didn't know what to do. My grenade killed a few zombies but there were a lot of them. Maurice, Leonard and Anthony were backing up but no zombies got up to the food court yet. More zombies came in the mall entrance, Danyelle got scared and pulled one of my grenades on my belt.

The dress that I was wearing had a big bow in front. When Danyelle pulled one of my grenades, the bow caught the pin. 

Danyelle: "Oh no what do I do?!"
She said panicking.

Vanessa: "ELLE THROW IT!!"
3 seconds till it blows.

Danyelle: "Van..!"
2 seconds.

I quickly grabbed the grenade and threw it away going to the entrance but it didn't make it. It exploded in the air not near the ground. I got caught up by the explosion. Everyone took cover, they looked at me and Danyelle, I was laying on the floor unconscious, Danyelle was trying to wake me up as she apologize.

Leonard: "No..."
He spoke as he put down his gun.

Maurice: "This is no time for drama!" "Lets go!" "Carry her!!"
He said as he picked up Leonard's gun.

Anthony: "Come guys follow me!" "Hurry!!"

Maurice grabbed Danyelle by her hand, while Leonard carried me as they followed Anthony out of the mall.
