The Apocalypse

Part 6: The Girl

Maurice saw a girl running across the streets and he told us to look. A big surprise that we saw she was running from a big guy. She tripped and Maurice got worried, We watched from a distance, the guy pulled the girl's hair.

"OUCH!" "PLEASE STOP IT!" She screamed. 

Maurice was stepping forward while I grabbed his arm. 

"What are you doing." I asked.

"Van. Shes a Girl!".

He stepped forward when we saw the girl get punched by the guy. Maurice quickly aimed his gun and shot the guy to his death. The girl looked at our direction and we saw the fear in her eyes. The loud gun shot echoed. Looking at their direction, we saw a bunch of zombies going our way. Maurice picked her up, I told Leonard to drive their way and get them.

Leonard drove as fast as he could, We helped the girl up on the back of the pick up truck. Then we drove away, still seeing zombies following us, Juan and Maurice were shooting them so we can get away. The girl just sat there not knowing what to do. Leonard kept on driving.

Leonard: "THERE ARE ZOMBIES ON OUR WAY!!!" 

Vanessa: "RUN OVER THEM!!!!! DONT STOP!! GO GO GO!"

Anthony was shooting some zombies on our way as well to help Leonard. I looked at the girl, I could still see fear in her eyes when she looked back at me.

"What's your name?" I asked.

"Danyelle..." She said.

"Aight Elle don't worry about a thing we'll get you somewhere safe okay?"

"T-Thanks--"

"Call me Van" (smiles) "Do you have a family here?" 

"Van.. I- I don't have them anymore...T-They took them away! I was the only one who survived.." She cried.

"I'm sorry."

I had a red handkerchief as my headband, I gave her the handkerchief to wipe her tears. Maurice looked back at her, she looked away because she was shy. 

We finally arrived at the pier having some zombies ran over. We moved quietly at that point because we don't want to get in trouble while we load all the boxes to the yate. As the guys were putting all of the boxes from the pick up truck to the yate, Danyelle talked to me about clothing. She said that she doesn't have any clothes with her, that she doesn't wanna come without any clothes of her own because it's enough that we saved her from the man who hurt her earlier.

Maurice seemed to over heard our conversation and said 

"We'll get you some clothes! I think there's a clothing store near by!" 

"Yeah, we can take you there and you can get as many clothes as you want" I said.

"WOW! really?!! THANKS SO MUCH!" 

Maurice, Danyelle and I went to the clothing store near by the pier not taking the pick up truck anymore since we could just walk from here to there. Juan parked the pick up truck in a safe place so when we come back it would still be there. While we were in the deserted clothing store Leonard, Juan and Anthony were guarding the yate.

Danyelle was busy inside the clothing store getting all that she needed. Maurice was outside the clothing store guarding if there's danger near by. I was with Danyelle she got a basket filled with clothes, she made me carry two baskets filled with clothes, shoes, etc. I was okay with it, minutes later Maurice said that we should go because he sighted a few zombies. Danyelle and I quietly went out of the store, Maurice was behind us while Elle and I ran back to the docks. 

We put her things in the yate, the six of us were going back to the private island. We were far from land and I was driving the yate smoothly, Leonard was checking all the boxes and supplies we got, Juan and Anthony were reloading the guns we used, and I looked at the back of the yate and saw Maurice talking to Danyelle who's in front of him. They were getting to know each other.

I suddenly had a crazy idea, I suddenly put the yate on turbo making Danyelle fall over on Maurice, Leonard fell and hit his head and got mad at me, Juan almost fell off the yate if Anthony hadn't held his shirt. Maurice and Danyelle had a moment while everyone else shouted at me. Still on turbo, they all stood up then I suddenly stopped the yate. LOL.

This time Mau fell on Elle. and When I stopped the yate Juan and Anthony fell off. Leonard shouted at me saying that I should stop. He helped Juan and Anthony get back up on the yate and I apologized. I didn't mean for them to fall off. We were nearing on the private island and I could already see it. So much awaits we still have to introduce this beautiful girl to everyone in the mansion
