Part 13: Parted Ways

Yes. Maurice showed Danyelle the abandoned park and they were spending time talking with each other while Juan is checking our truck, Anthony is at his log house. Leonard and I went on a stroll on the park like Maurice and Elle. Then we noticed that its almost dusk, time didn't pass by long and we gathered everyone. 

Vanessa: "This is bad.."

Maurice: "Really bad. I guess"

Danyelle: "This is an abandoned park right, there are no zombies so why worry."

Juan: "Well there's no saying that there wont be any zombies.."

Anthony: "Dang it."

Leonard: "So. What do we do."

We were all gathered in a circle on the bridge of the park which is in the middle. My arms are crossed trying to think, not panic.

Vanessa: "Hmm.. No matter. We can just drive back to the pier..."

Juan: "Oh yeah.. About that.."

He said looking at everyone. 

Maurice: "Oh no.. No. No. No.. Hell no."

Juan: "Yeah we're out of gas ..."

Anthony: "FFFFFFFF! Nooooooo... WE CANT STAY HERE WHAT IF ZOMBIES CAME?! WE DON'T HAVE ENOUGH AMMO TO LAST THE NIGHT!!!"
He said as he panics.

Danyelle: "Omg.. What do we do now Van...?"

Vanessa: "Why are you asking me.. Juan drove us here.."

Juan: "Oh come on.. Want me to think of a crappy solution that will all get us killed?!"
He held my shoulders and shook me.

Vanessa: "JESUS. CHILL DAFUQ OUT MAN"

As we were trying to form a solution that time and arguing, something distracted Danyelle from a distance as she looks across the street. She stepped forward, Maurice couldn't help but notice.

Maurice: "Danyelle?"

Danyelle: "Oh hey"
She said as she looks across the street still.

Leonard: "What's wrong?"

Danyelle: "Look at that..."
She points across the street.

Anthony noticed Danyelle as she points, he looked at where she was pointing. Anthony tapped Juan while we were arguing. I stopped talking and looked as well.

Vanessa: "Nah.."

Danyelle: "Oh yes. We're going."
She said as she steps forward again.

Vanessa: "Since when do you make the rules?"

Danyelle: "Since everyone decided you're too small for the job."

Vanessa: "WHAT."

Maurice: "Uhm.."

Vanessa: "WHAT DO YOU MEAN EVERYONE DECIDED."

Leonard: "Van..."

Vanessa: "W-WHAT DOES THIS MEAN...guys..."
I looked at them with a confused face.

Everyone looked at me, quiet. Danyelle didn't say another word, she just looked at the ground while I looked at everyone else.

Vanessa: "Okay. If that's what you'd like."

Leonard: "No."

Maurice: "We didn't say that you're too small for the job.."

Vanessa: "Right.. I'm just going to step out. Go ahead and do whatever you like guys. I'll drag this f!#*$%#~ truck to the gasoline station if I have to."

Maurice: "Stop it Van..No.. You're not leaving."

Leonard: "Not again.."

Juan: "Alright who talked about her height?"

Anthony: "Sorry."

Danyelle: "I'm sorry."

I have this problem when people talk about my height I get triggered and I start to hate people around me ESPECIALLY if I'm the shortest of everyone. Everyone teases me about me being short. THEY SHOULD THANK ME BECAUSE IF IT WASN'T FOR ME THEY WOULD NOT FEEL TALL AT ALL. 

Vanessa: "You know what. I'm really out. Good luck to all of you."

Leonard: "IF YOU'RE GOING I'M COMING WITH YOU!"

Vanessa:"No. Stay here. I'm not asking for anyone of you to come with me."

Maurice: "Yeah you're not asking. It's our life choice though. So I'm going with you twinny. One way or another."

I became speechless.

Danyelle: "YOU'RE ALL GOING TO DIE OUT THERE DON'T YOU KNOW ANY BETTER?!"

Anthony: "Yeah.. I'm staying."

Danyelle: "A LIFE CHOICE?! HA. Do you all want to die?!"

I stared at Danyelle.

Leonard: "If you guys want to stay then stay."

Vanessa: "I don't even know what to say anymore."

Danyelle: "Whatever guys."
She said as she cross her arms and look away from us.

I looked forward and headed on my way out with Leonard, Maurice and Juan pushing the truck with me. Long time ago that abandoned park was where we became a whole family of friends who never leaves each other, now its the abandoned park where we all parted in two worlds leaving two members of our family Anthony and Danyelle behind while the rest of us strive to go home.
