Birds of Legends Chapter 1

Chapter 1

"Robin!!! Stop it!!!" I yell in between laughs, trying roll away from him.
"And where would the fun in that be?" He asks, tickling me again.
I manage to kick him in his stomach, giving me time to roll away. Quickly I am on top of him, tackling him. He laughs and falls and again I am under him. All his weight on top of me.
"Get..Off..You..Heavy.. Lousy... PIG!" I mange to breathe out.
"I thought it was a raven pillow."
He rolls off me making sure to push all the air out of me. I sit up, fixing my night colored hair. I stick my tongue out at my brother. He stands up and brushes off his pants.
"I win again." He snickers before giving me a hand.
" Ya ya ya.." I sneer back, allowing him to help me up.
I am straightening out my blue dress, the hems colored in a gold color. It was my mothers dress. The one she wore when she met dad.
"Robin,Raven can you please come down here. Now please." My father calls to us.
"Coming father." We reply in unison.

My brothers deep voice of a 15 year old is nothing compared to my high pitch 12 year old girly voice. We race down the stairs, shoving each other as we do. I stop at the bottom of the stairs as Robin goes to stand next to my father. Marian and her father are sitting down. I see Robin smile at her and pull a chair next to her. Sir Knighton and my father are both in deep conversation. I sigh while sitting down on the bottom step, fiddling with my fingers. I look up to see Robin in his love state mood, always with Marion when he goes all goo goo eyes with her. She blushes while Robin talks.
"Robing with his clever comments again I suppose." I say out loud.
My father looks out the window, with a worried expression on his face. He returns to Marian's father and talks in a very deep tone. I get off my step and walk towards Marion and Robin. She smiled as I approach.
"Hello my night bird." She says while I smile, seeing my nick name is still alive.
"Greeting Maid Marian, what brings you to Locksley?"
"Our fathers have business together. I deiced to tag along. I wanted to see my favorites birds." She says, looking at Robin and I.
My brother blushes. I try to choke back a giggle. Robin glares at me but I cant help it. I burst out laughing. Everyone turns to me, each with a question on their tongues.
"Sorry." I say, blushing.
As everyone goes back to the business I chose to go outside. I see Marian's fathers horse in our stables. I smile to the stable boy who hands me a carrot. I thank him and feed the horse who is eager to take it. I smile and walk back. As I see Marion and Sir Kightiton leave, Robin gives Marion a kiss on her check. She blushes and turns. I rush over and stand next to Robin, still in his day dream.
"Farewell Sir Kington and Lady Marian. Safe travels." My father issues a goodbye as I wave.
I feel a small pain in my shoulder, knowing Robin has punched me. I turn and to punch him back but its easy deflected. He grabs mg wrist and throws my arm side.
"Children please" my father yells turning his back to us.
"Look what you did now." I say to Robin, follow my father back into our house.
"ME!? What about you?"
I shrug off the question, going back upstairs to finish my book about a country in a civil war with their
corrupted government.
