Birds of Legends Chapter 16

Chapter 16
Its late at nigh once I wake up again. My whole body hurts from being beat. I hold my hand on a cut on my shoulder given me by Guy. I sigh, looking to a gate which allows moonlight to fall into the cells. I stand up and limp over to the other side of the cell. I notice my brother,lying on the ground. His shirt is torn across the back. His breathe is slow and calm. I decided not to wake him. I walk back to my corner, dropping my hand off my shoulder. My dress i wore is now in shreds and red from blood. I close my eyes, wishing for some miracle. I look towards my cell door. The only thing keeping me from running to camp. Hopefully the gang figured out that something went terrible wrong. Robin stirs in his sleep. I look my brother, the person who I always looked up to. I sigh, trying to fall asleep. My dream are corrupted and dark, causing me to wake up serval times. I end up staying asleep until sun rises. I hear Robin groan as he awakens. He looks at me and smiles, his face has a cut right below his right eye.
"I'm sorry." I say.
"For what?" Asks Robin.
"For screaming the day father died."
"You dont have to be sorry. "
"If I didnt do it maybe everything would have been normal."
"Nothing would have ben normal, you screaming or not."
"Okay."
We hear footsteps come down around mid day. Its the Sheriff and come guards. They open each cell and force us to our feet. We walk for a while, the guards yelling at us to go faster. The pain in my leg is un bearable. Guy reopened the wound in my leg, causing me deathly pain. We stop outside a door. The guards wait their que before pushing us out. A crowd has formed around the hanging pole. Two ropes hang on either side. I close my eyes against the sun, not being used to it. The guards watch us step onto the stool.
I look around at the faces we helped, each of them seem to be hopeless. I catch the eye of someone familiar. Will! The gang is here! I smile but quickly return to my sadden face. The Sheriff starts talking but I tune him out. I watch as Will nods with someone behind me. All of a sudden smoke erupts in the air, hiding us from the Sheriff. I jump off the platform, wincing with pain. I limp towards the gate, watching as the gang runs towards each other. We make it out into the town, each of us at a sprint. I fall behind because of my leg, Robin only a few paces in front of me. We are about to enter the forest when I feel a terrible pain growing in my stomach. I cant even cry out I just drop onto my knees. I feel blood starting to rush out from my front side and back.
"Guys." I whisper, feeling myself losing my energy.
Little John sees me and stops, looking if he has seen a ghost. He picks me up and runs after the gang. The I dont feel anything now, but my eyes are getting heavy. I dont notice Little John set me down by the river. Robin,Much,Will and Little John look down at me. I feel whatever is in me gets pushed in more. I scream in pain as it does. Robin drops onto all fours next to me, grabbing my hand. Tears are in his eyes.
"Raven-" he starts.
"Robin. My strong brother. I love you." I mange to say. Each word is harder to say.
His lip quivers and he cries right in front of me. I smile but end up spitting blood out of my mouth. He grips my hand tighter.
"This doesnt end here. For any of you." I say whispering it to the gang.
Everyone is crying. I feel blood slowly stead itself. I cough up more of my life.
"Im not losing the only family I have." He cries.
"I'm sorry Robin."
He kisses my hand, keeping his lips there for a while.
I look up to the sky, seeing welcome arms.
"I love you all."
"I love you to Rav." I hear all around.
"I love sister." I hear Robin say.
I squeeze his hand before closing my eyes. I feel myself having no pain. I open my eyes and see Allen and my father. I run into his open arms, hugging him.
"I missed you." I say.
"I missed you too."
I turn to my father.
"I'm so proud of you. Both of you." He says.
"Thanks dad."
I turn and walk with them. My hand locked in Allen's.
The birds fly high above me in the wind.
Ravens fly in the air, with no pain at all.
