Chapter 14
We ride to a small wooden house away from any civilization. We all dismount and walk to the door. Will knocks quietly.
"Come in." Says a voice.
We enter the house, each of us looking around. I notice there are boxes and tools lying around. Will walks up to the man, allowing him to feel his face.
"Will Scarlet." The mysterious man says.
"Yes sir." Will replies.
"There are more of you?" The man asks, pointing at the gangs direction.
"Its Robin Hood's men." Will says.
"And women." I add.
"And woman." He continues.
"Robin Hood? I don't believe it." He says.
"Will speaks the truth sir." Says Robin.
"Let me see."
Robin goes over to the man, the mans hands go over his features.
"It is you." The man says.
"I wouldn't tell a lie sir." Replies my brother.
"What of your sister?" The man asks.
"She is here."
"Let me see her."
I step forward, feeling the man touch my skin is like feeling a warmth flow through my face.
"Raven.."
"Yes sir."
"You've grown."
"Yes."
"Good."
I step back, watching the man.
"Let me introduce myself. I am James." Says James.
I notice his eyes are clouded. He's blind!
"He is the one that made the Sheriff's strong room. The one where the Sherif is keeping the money."
"Aye, indeed I did."
James reaches for a box, pulling out a piece of old paper. He opens it up, allowing us to see.
"Is this the-?" I ask.
"Aye."
Robin looks it over. I see a plan forming in his head.
"Could you teach us the cycle?" Robin asks.
"Yes. But in order to beat the traps. You must practice." James says.
"How could we practice something like this?" Asks Much.
"Ill recreate the room." He says.
We all look up, not knowing what to say.
"How long will it take?" asks Little John.
"A week."
We again hold an awkward silence.
"Alright. We'll hold you to it." Says Much.
"Is there anything you want in return James?" Asks Robin.
"I want a free and justified England." He replies.
"You will. You will."
We say our goodbyes and mont our horses. I keep wondering about the pld man.
"How do you James Will?" Asks Much.
"My father used to go over there and work. He brought me over."
"Nice."
I block our their question. Listening to the forest sounds. I pick off some dirt on my pants. I adjust my black top with the sleeves torn off.
"Something isnt right." I ponder.
Then slightly I hear it, the thundering of hooves.
"Everyone! Its a carriage! Time to hide!" I whisper to them.
We all jump off our horses, sending them to graze. We all hide behind the trees, becoming Robin's invisible gang. Bird calls are passed among us. Until the carriage is right between us. Little John and Robin step in front of it, stopping the carriage. Will and I take out the back guards silently. Placing them quietly on the ground. We each take a side on the carriage. We hear Robin and Little John fighting off some guards. Its taking longer than usually. I hear the curtain on my side flicker. Someone is coming out. I lower myself to the ground, waiting to see who it is.
"Why have we stopped?" Asks the man dressed in clothes like a royal. More guards step out of the carriage. We bring the fight to the front of the carriage, re grouping. The guards are more skilled than we usually fight.
"Do you know who I am?" Asks the figure. "I am Prince John!"
We all stop fighting. The guards step back , realizing we stopped. Robin looks at me funny.
The guards spring at us again. It takes five minutes before we knock them cold. Robin walks up to Prince John.
"My apologies your highness. But it seems we have not met. I am Robin Hood."
"Ah so you're the famous Robin Hood. This must be your gang." Says the Prince.
"Indeed I am. You'll remember quite clearly to remember me too!"
Robin kicks the Prince back into his carriage, snatching his coin purse. We all run back to camp, hearing the yellings of Prince John.
Robin throws the coin purse onto a small table, the coins sliding out.
"The Prince! In Nottingham?" Says Robin holding onto a wooden log above him.
"What could he have planned?" Asked John.
"I dont know.. But I dont like it." Says Much.
"We need to get into that store room before that money leaves the castle." I say, looking at everyone.
"Right, tomorrow we get into the castle and try to see whats going on." Says Robin.

We all retire to what ever we like to do. I walk out of camp, walking to no where. I keep looking around, seeing the forest in a place way.

"Sherwood, its home." I whisper.
