Chapter 2
I walk around my fathers village. The villagers smile at me happily. I make small talk with some of them. I notice Will Scarlet and his brother working on a box of wood. I skip over to them.
"Evening Gentleman." I say smiling.
"Good day lady Locksley." Will replies, the usual response.
"What are you working on?"
I get on my tip toes to try and see the box more closely.
"A box for your father. He wanted something to put his ink in" Luke Scarlett says, showing me the work done.
Will and Robin are about the same age while Luke is older than me by 2 years.
"It seems you are doing a well job. I must be off. Maybe ill see you soon." I crusty clumsy, reminding myself I need to practice.
I head back to the manor, my home, the goodbyes of the boys fading. I decided to let my hair fall, pulling it out from the bun is was in. The wind blows it back.I see Robin practice his archery with father, each of them smiling. I wall over to them , sitting on the ground once I can hear them talking.
"Don't forget your breathe Robin. The bow needs breathe mush as we do." Father says.
" I know."
Robin fires the arrow, hitting his target with ease. I clap and Robin turns and bows. I laugh loudly. As we all head back to the the house we hear galloping of hooves. A lot of them. My father stands in the doorway, his face becoming concerned. Robin is next to my father, pulling me in front of him. His strong hands rest on my shoulders. All the horse, six of them in total, stop in front of our home. A middle age looking man rides up to us, with a boy with black hair rides next to him. Robin pushes me behind him. His eyes alert.
"Who are you and what do you want?" My father asks, kindly.
" I am the new sherif of Nottingham, and this is my commander Guy of Gisborn. We have come to revive the taxes to our "grateful king" in the holy land. " The middle age man says.
" Give us the money and we shall be on our way." Say the younger boy who I presume is Guy.
" Are taxes aren't due until next Wednesday." My father replies calmly.
"True..But you are missing some taxes and we are here to gather them. They should have been handed over on the Thursday of lat month. But before we forget we chose to collect them now and be over with it." Snickers the Sheriff.
" We do not have the taxes."
"Than you are a traitor to the crown. GUARDS" yells Gisborn.
" My father is not a traitor" yells Robin as the guards put my father into restraints.
" Shut up boy. " Snaps the Sheriff.
"I am no boy! Release my father at once, he has done no crime!"
"Guy, deal with the boy."
Guy steps down off his horse and walks towards my brother. I cling to Robin's shirt, suddenly becoming afraid. Robin takes a step forward, his blue eyes are deadly. Guy tries to shove him backwards, Robin well trained steps to the side and punches Guy in the side. I stand and watch, horror amongst my face. Guy grabs Robin's leg and brings him to the ground. He is quickly on top of my brother, his knee on his chest. Robin tries to get free but is un able. I dont even think, i grab Robin's bow. I take an arrow out of his quiver and aim at Guy.
"Get off Robin.." I threaten.
Guy only looks up, silently he gets of my brother. Robin stands up and punches the pig in the face, realizing he isnt looking at him.
"Guy! Deal with the peasants yourself. I have an execution to enjoy." orders the Sheriff.
He tun his horse around and takes my father with him.
"You'll regret that child." Guy threats at Robin and I.
"Give us back our Father!" I yell at him, keeping the bow aimed at his chest.
"You'll never see your father now.."
Guy runs at me, his eyes wild. I mange to fire the arrow, it skimming his shoulder. He tackles me, pinning me on my back. For him its easy to over power me, his hands on my throat, squeezing the life out of me. I start to see dark circles. Then, i feel the weight off me. My sight become clear and I see Guy and Robin wrestling it out in the grass. Robin has Guy under him, punching him over and over. Finally Guy stops struggling and lies limp. Robin gets up and walks towards me.
"Are you alright?" he asks concerned.
"Ya." I answer.
"We need to get out of here. Grab what you can. Meet in the stables."Robin says, running inside.
I follow him up head upstairs to my room. I gran the blue dress and a shirt and pants. I put to daggers into my hair, quickly putting it into a bun. I race down stairs and run to the stables. I hear Guy starting to wake up.
"Robin! Robin!" I yell searching for him.
I see him riding father's horse and leading his. With experience I jump into the saddle, putting my belongs into the saddle bag. We gallop away into Sherwood. I make the mistake to look back, Gisborn, red is charging after us.
"Robin! Guy is following!" I scream at my older sibling.
Robin turn around on his horse.
"Split up! Meet at the river!" He yells, turning his horse east.
I turn my horse west and turn around. Guy isnt following me.
"Lord, save Robin please" I pray.
