"WE'LL BE RUNNING DOWN THE STREET YELLING KISS MY ASS! I'M LIKE YEAH WHATEVER WE'RE STILL LIVING LIKE THAT! WHEN THE SUNS GOING DOWN WE'LL BE RAISING OUR CUP SINGING HERE'S TO NEVER GROWING UP!" Me and Harper shouted and screamed jumping up and down in my room. I strummed my guitar so hard my fingers hurt while jumping to the bed.
Dangerous I know but I live on the wild side (insert wink here).
John ran up and joined us, more mocking us but fun nonetheless. We ended up in a pile on the floor trying to catch our breaths from body shaking laughter.
"KIDS GET YOURSELVES DOWNSTAIRS!" My mom called up, my room was on the fourth floor so they sprinted down while I ran to the window.
“Where are you going?” Harper asked.
“If mom asks I left earlier.” I sighed. I slipped through the window and looked down. Thank god there are trees tall enough to reach the third floor. I carefully made my way over to the tree and stepped onto the branch. I didn’t even have to think as my body led the way down to the ground. I ran and jumped in my car speeding away. I pulled over when my eyes landed on a familiar boy’s. “Get in.” I smiled.
“Someone not into meeting the family?” Landon smiled. He was one of my best friends.
“Don’t even mention it.”
Harry’s POV
I glared at my dad as we stepped out of the van. He couldn’t make me do this. “Woah.” I heard Gemma gasp. I looked over at her to see her staring ahead. I followed her gaze to have my eyes land on a huge brown stone house. We almost ran up the front steps causing dad to laugh. Gemma knocked on the door and it opened a few seconds later.
"Hello kids, Harry so glad you could make it!" Debbie smiled, I saw two kids standing behind her with smiles on their faces.
"Thanks Deb." I smiled pulling her in for a hug. Gemma hugged hello and dad gave her a kiss... gross.
"Hi kids." Dad smiled
"Hello Jesse." They smiled back.
“John, Harper, these are Jesse’s kids Harry and Gemma.” Debbie smiled.
“Leave them to be gross, we’ll show you around.” Harper laughed. She was a small girl with leafy green eyes. She had her moms oval face and friendly smile. They actually looked identical except for the eye colors and Harper’s hair being lighter. John was more like his mom, they shared brown eyes and dark brown hair. They looked like the perfect family.
“Wait where’s Skylar?” My dad asked nervously.
“She’s.... She’s at work!” Harper smiled.
“I thought she was taking the dogs to the vet?” Debbie questioned.
“Details, details details....” Harper tisked. “Come on guys we’ll show you around!” She grabbed our hands and pulled us up one of the two staircases.
“You really don’t know how to lie.” John whispered.
“If she didn’t leave I wouldn’t have had to.” Harper rolled her eyes. “Once we were on the second floor she stopped us. “As you know I’m Harper. You can call me Harp if you want though. Gemma, I’m going to call you Gem if that’s alright?”
“Fine with me.” Gemma laughed.
“Well Gem you’re bedroom’s in the basement, but don’t worry, it’s actually one of the nicest one’s here.” She smiled. “A few things to warn you. Never, ever, make your way up the next flight of stairs unless she gives you permission. That’s Skylar’s room, the attic-ish area. I’m warning you that she’ll kill you if she finds you in her room. There’s nothing bad up there, but she just doesn’t like people near her stuff-”
