Me, Peter and Aslan were standing on a hill staring at a beautiful castle in the distance surrounded by a body of water.
"That is Cair Paravel, the castle the four thrones in one of which you will sit, Peter, as High King" Aslan says.
But Peter just stares ahead.
"You doubt the prophecy?" Aslan asks like the curious person, or shall I say lion he is.
"No, that's just it... Aslan, I'm not who you all think I am"
"Peter Pevensie, formly of Finchley. ... Beaver also mentioned you planned on turning him into a hat" Aslan's statement made a smile inch up on Peter's face.
"Peter, there is a Deep Magic more powerful than any of us that rules over Narnia. It defines right from wrong and governs all our destinies. Yours and mine" Aslan says.
I've heard of the deep magic that powerful witches and wizards cast. The founder cast that very spell on Hogwarts when they taught, so displine was in order.
"But I couldn't even protect my own family" Peter said looking ashamed and crestfallen.
"You've brought them safely this far" I whispered. Peter seemed shock that I actually spoke since I was quite the whole time.
" Not all of them" he argues.
"Peter, I will do what I can to help your brother. But I need you to consider what I ask of you. ... I too want my family safe" Aslan says.
He continues "What about you? what will you do?"
"I guess I could fight against the Queen and do what I've always done, let life go by instead of planning ahead"
"We may not win against the Queen but atleast we're doing this for Narnia and it's occupants" Aslan said. The way he said it brought tears to my eyes.
