I couldn't believe it. He was asking me out on a date! I don't know where we're going, but I don't care. I just want to be somewhere with him, just him. I don't care if it's only for an hour or if takes the rest of the day, I just want to be close to him again. It's like a craving for his presence.

A smile rolled out across my lips. "Sure, I'd love to." He grinned back at me. "Um, come in and wait here for a minute." I said, and he nodded, stepping into the house. "I'll be right back."

I turned and walked out of the entryway, nearly running straight into a very excited Grace. I grabbed her hand and pulled her a little further away so Jimmy couldn't overhear us, Grace smiling wildly at me. Excitedly, I said,

"Is this what you made me wait for?"

She nodded quickly. "Uh huh! Aren't you glad I made you wait? I called him while you were with Johnny and set up this whole thing. He's going to take you to lunch and then you guys are going to just be alone together for the evening, and you better kiss him or I will beat you with a cinder block when you get back here."

I laughed. "Yes ma'am, now let me go upstairs for a quick moment so I can go on my date."

Grace stepped aside, and I moved past her, jogging upstairs and down to Grace's room. I walked over to where I'd left Jimmy's necklace and picked it up, studying it for a moment before smiling and putting it in my pocket. I grabbed my jacket and went back downstairs as fast as I could without tripping over anything or myself, come back into the entryway where Jimmy was waiting patiently.

He smiled at me again. "Ready?"

I nodded. "Yeah, let's go."

I shot Grace an excited smile over my shoulder as I started to follow behind Jimmy, and she waved, grinning with an equally excited look on her face. I followed Jimmy to his car, getting into the passenger's seat beside him. As if I didn't already know, as he was starting up the car, I asked,

"So, where are we going?"

"We are going to a place with food that we can buy and consume." He replied.

I raised an eyebrow. "A restaurant?"

"Ding, ding, ding! You are correct!"

I couldn't help a small giggle. "Well alright then."

He pulled out of Grace's driveway and sped down the street, and I already knew where we were going after he'd driven a couple blocks. It was the same restaurant we'd gone to on New Year's Eve, with Zacky and Grace. That had been such an amazing night, I hoped it was a sign that tonight would be just as amazing. But all the tense vibes that we'd had between us, and the anger stored away in them was gone. I felt nothing but carefree vibes and lightheartedness. It was almost like all those things that had destroyed us never happened, it almost felt as though we were dating again even though we weren't. Not yet, anyway.

We were somewhat quiet during the drive, music from the radio playing quietly. I was looking for something to say, and it seemed that he was too, as he looked to be in thought as he drove, but not so much that he wasn't aware of driving. Then he said,

"So... what've you been up to lately? You're staying with Grace?"

"Yeah, and we've been having fun together. Always do. Really, I've just been not doing much of anything, relaxing and such. Did a little bit of drawing."

"Well, I'm sure whatever you drew is perfection." He said, smiling a little.

"If only."

"Seriously, everything you draw is perfect. I would know, I've witnessed it. I still have the other drawing." He referred to the drawing of us dragging away dead bodies.
