She watched them from her perch, surveying the scene. He kissed them both before waving goodbye and stepping out the door.
She jumped down and carefully made her way to the open window across the dewy grass before climbing through into the living room.
There they were.
As she slipped behind the sofa they both moved away from the door where they were waving goodbye to their son and stepped back into the living room.
The man turned to his wife and opened his mouth to speak but no words came out. A small hole in his forehead began to drip blood and he dropped to the floor.
His wife screamed and ran towards the door, she didn't get far before a knife impaled itself into her back and protruded out of her chest.
As she collapsed the world spun before focusing on the stormy eyes above her.
"You"
Her body sighed as the word left her body.
As the second knife came down on her head the woman let out her last breath and smiled.
