I was shaken awake fifteen minutes later by Elle, or Doc, after she kicked down my previously locked bedroom door. I tried swatting her away, but she just wasn't having it. She made me sit up,before she tried speaking to me. I couldn't seem to focus, though, not until she slapped me.

"If I have to, I'll trigger all that time spent 'training'." She hissed, pulling the blanket off of my bed before wrapping it around me carefully. "And I think you should tell Gen over there about what you tend to call training. He deserves to know."

"I... It's just so hard..." I mumbled, sinking deeper under the blanket.

"If you fall asleep again I'm punching you." She growled, standing. "I know it is, but it's what's right. If you don't tell him, I will."

"Tell who what?" Gen rasped, walking into the room holding a steaming black mug. "Oh, and I made you some coffee, Maddy."

"Her name is Alice. Feel free to call her that behind closed doors. My real name is Elle, by the way. Nice to make your acquaintance, Leo." Doc announced, pulling her coat off and tossing it on my bed lazily.

"You little sh-" I began.

"Don't you dare. You actually hadn't even told him your name, for goodness sake. Don't get your panties in a twist." She cut me off, flipping her long hair over her shoulder with a flourish. "If you have any questions about her, feel free to ask me. If you ask her, chances are she won't answer anyways."

"I've known the boy for a day, he doesn't have to know everything about me!" I hissed, making it to my feet, blanket wrapped around me half hazardly.

"But he should know the important parts! Like your name, age, star sign, relationship status, and key parts of your past! It's all essential. Trust me, I'm a doctor." She sighed, taking the mug from Gen, or Leo, before handing it to me.

"Um... Are you guys okay? I mean, Doc, you did kinda kick her door down and all.... So, what exactly is going on?" Gen squeaked, watching as I took a tentative drink of the coffee. It was rather sweet, which was nice.

"This idiot," Elle began, pointing an accusatory finger at me. "Took a calming thing that makes her nauseous and knocks her out for hours. Actually, she probably took multiple, knowing her. The things take a toll on her, that's for sure."

"Why'd she do that?" He asked, looking at me with a scolding glare.

"She was experiencing something called a panic attack. Most likely triggered by being in the public and thoughts of her experiments." Elle yawned, before realizing what she said. Before realizing that she slipped. "I mean, thoughts of training."

"You said experiments." Leo and I said in unison.

"Wow, I'm tired of standing, let's go sit on the couch to finish this wonderful light hearted conversation!" Elle cheered, marching into the living room. Leo and I followed.

"So, since Alice was so injured when she was hired here, The Agency decided to take advantage of that." Elle began once we were all comfortably seated. Her demeanor had changed completely, from light and bright to dark and serious.

"What do you mean? How did they take advantage of it?" Gen asked, looking at me for an answer this time. I sighed, staring at the coffee in the ebony mug.

"Well, since I wouldn't be able to work for at least a year anyways, they decided to make me part of a new line of employees. Psy and Doll were the first, and then there was Elle, and then there was me." I muttered, glancing up from time to time.

"They were conducting experiments on us. Of course, Alice got the worse of all of them." Elle smiled sadly.

"What did they do to you guys?" Gen asked bluntly but carefully, his voice soft and quiet.
