They all woke up a few hours later, still tired, yet unable to sleep. Leo had his arms wrapped around a cranky Alice, who was curled against him. Though, Doll and Psy were still snoring away from the couch.

"I want to stay in bed all day...." Alice muttered, burying her head in the crook of Leo's neck. He felt her breath tickling his skin, and a shiver ran down his spine.

"You can't. We have a party to attend." He chuckled, tracing circles down her back. "Oh, that reminds me! What are you being? For Halloween? You never told me."

"You think I'm gonna tell you at all? Ha, fat chance, bud." She laughed against his skin, chucking at her own apparent joke. She considered herself rather hilarious.

"Yo, when's that thing today start? How much longer can I sleep?" Doll yawned, stumbling into the room half asleep. Her lidded eyes landed on the two spooning, and a look of confusion stretched across her face as her head tilted to one side. "I must still be dreaming. Goodnight and goodbye."

She walked out of the room, muttering to herself, leaving Leo and Alice behind in her wake of confusion.

"... It starts at five...." Alice responded a moment later, blinking slowly at the empty doorway.

"You do realize that she didn't hear you, right?" Leo asked, looking down at the perplexed girl with confusion and mild amusement.

"Yeah, yeah, I know..." Alice muttered, still staring at the empty doorway.

---

Several hours later, Alice had locked herself in her room, blaring music. Leo was sat in his room, headphones in, trying to block the noise out. Psy and Doll had left a bit before to go get ready, and now the assassins were doing the same.

Alice was completely giddy. She was ecstatic, even if she was kinda a monster herself, Halloween was great.

She quickly pulled her Halloween supplies out, having hid them from snoops who were out to find what it was she was going to be this year.

Then, she quickly got dressed. She couldn't put the full thing on, since she had yet to do her hair and makeup and such, but she still put most of it on.

She sat at her desk, getting out all of her makeup. She applied full face primer and did all of the foundation things, making sure it was all much paler than she actually was, before she set about using eye shadows to create bruises and the like. She created cuts, and contoured, as well, humming and trying to suppress her smile.

She pulled out a brush and teased her hair, back combing until it was a knotted mess. She reached into her costume bag and pulled out a headband with two long, slender black horns attached. She slipped the head and on, hiding the actual hair piece with her auburn knots. The long horns reached about a foot passed her head, unlike her actual ones. She couldn't help but wonder if her real ones would grow or eventually look like the fake ones attached to her head temporarily.

She got up and grabbed her fake blood, heading into the bathroom. She carefully applied some to her head and hair, then dumped and splattered the rest all over her white dress and skin, smearing it and slapping it on wherever. She waited until the sticky substance was dry before leaving her bathroom, hoping not to get the crimson liquid all over the place.

She grabbed the last thing from her bag and opened it with a small smile. She slipped the lace veil on, covering her face slightly. It was a small thing that stopped just after her chin, and it was a pristine white with little flower patterns.

She was being a demon for Halloween.

Of course, the irony to that was rather recent, considering the truth behind the experiments. She sat back at her desk, pulling on a pair of white nylons, thinking back to what Doll and Psy had told them just last night. So much was happening so quickly, and she couldn't help but hope that tonight would be some semblance of peaceful.
