Totsuka and Shizuka were sitting at the bar, with Izumo standing behind it. Anna was taking a nap, and everyone was out looking for the Colorless King. Seri visited earlier, but she left as soon as she came. Shizuka was stirring her drink with her straw. She looked exhausted, and Totsuka and Izumo couldn't help but feel sympathy for her.

"Shizuka, you should take a nap." Izumo said, but said female shook her head. Her eyes were focused on something, and the two easily recognized it. It was the look you'd get when have your mind set on one thing, and you are trying to figure out all the possibilities that could match up to it. Her mercury eyes were intense, and her stirring stopped. Her eyes were wide, and realization struck her. She quickly stood up, knocking over the bar stool in the process.

"What's wrong?" Totsuka asked frantically. Shizuka's eyes darted around as if she was seeing things they couldn't. Her delicate eyebrows arched downward, and her teeth grit.

"We're chasing the wrong guy." She quietly muttered. Izumo and Totsuka looked at her in confusion. Shizuka's pupil's were dilated, and her silver eyes started to reflect the Dresdan Slate colors. Izumo and Totsuka watched in fascination and concern, as the girl they once knew began to get lost.

"Shizuka!!" Totsuka called out. Thankfully, right then Yata came in and thrum Rikio into the bar. That seemed to break Shizuka out of her little spell, and they all watched to see Rikio's head smash against the bar. Izumo shrieked, and Totsuka was sure to pull Shizuka out of the destructive path of Izumo.

As Izumo yelled and gripped their heads, Totsuka was looking at Shizuka with worry. She seemed back to normal, only she looked a lot more tired. Her silver orbs met his brown ones. He gave her a concerned smile,"Are you okay?" Shizuka blinked and nodded.

"Sorry." She mumbled. Totsuka couldn't help but feel that there was a double meaning to that word, but he accepted it. With a smile he said,"It's okay." By then, they heard the ned of Izumo's 'explanation' and Yata and Rikio left. Shizuka turned to Izumo,"Liar." He only smiled and shrugged,"It's partially the truth." Izumo's eyes flickered to Totsuka who only shook his head. Izumo slightly nodded.

"Saa~ what a beautiful day." Totsuka said as he looked outside. Izumo only sighed, and Shizuka nodded.

Kokujoji stared out the windows, his reflection seemed to mock him. He sighed, and turned back around, staring at the Slate. The chip was getting smaller, and smaller. It will soon be time before her existence is wiped off completely. Kokujoji frowned at this. He remembers clearly the memories they had. Whether she remembers them or not is none of his concern.

He could only sigh in regret. He was powerless. Absolutely powerless. Weak. Helpless. Everything he vowed he wouldn't be, yet here he was being all of those. The reason was because he was human. It was a feeling she will never get to feel because she pure power, no trace of human in her. She was never meant to be a human.

After all, how can a flame learn to be human?

...I'm sorry
