The next day we woke up, his head hurting, and he didn’t know where he was, then the sad reality came to him. He was home, with a gash on his face, because the girl he loved hated him. He wished he could have been still sleeping. He reached over and grabbed his nearest blade, “might as well,” he said, going to hurt himself again, “nothing to live for anymore.” He went to go lay down but then he heard a knocking at his door.

“Victoria, if that’s you I don’t want you here.”

“It’s your father.”

“Oh.”

“I’m coming in whether you want me to or not.”

“Go for it.”

“What are you doing in here? It’s almostnoon.”

“So?”

“What’s that on your face?”

“A lovely little cut.”

“Who did that to you?!”

“I did.”

“You have to be kidding me.”

“I’m not.”

“Why would you do something so stupid?”

“Because, there is absolutely no point for my being on this earth right now.”

“Now who told you that?”

“Nobody told me, it’s just what I think, and it’s what I know.”

“Well what you think is wrong. Now tell me who put you up to this.”

“No one put me up to this I did it on my own.”

His father sighed then carried on talking, “Fine son, and just tell me why you did this.”

“I did it because the girl I love, well, thought I loved, completely hates me.”

“So a girl did this? Girls are nothing but trouble.”

“Well, I was stupid, I thought this one was different, and I put all my time, and all my bloody energy into this one girl and it was totally worthless.”

“That’s right. Do I know this girl at all?”

“Yes.”

“Can you tell me who this is?”

“I’d rather not.”

“Why not?”

“You would think I’m stupid for picking her.”

“No I won’t. Just tell me.”

“It’sVictoria.”

“OurVictoria?”

“Yes.” There was a long silence, like Mr. Robertson was contemplating doing something that he would regret later.

“Do you want me to kick her out of the house?”

“No, don’t do that. It’s not her fault she doesn’t like me. Just let her be, just don’t expect me to talk to her.”

“Okay…well I need to start working on some stuff for the school, are you going to be okay?”

“No, but I’ll survive.”

“That’s the spirit.” He said before leaving the room and closing the door.

The rest of the weekend went along slowly. Neither of them came out of their rooms very often, only to eat and go to the bathroom, which made dinner time very awkward. Now it was Monday, and there was no real way they could avoid each other very much now. Of course they left at different times so they wouldn’t have to see each other, or well Stephan left earlier, he didn’t want to have to deal withVictoriaanymore, not after how she had made him feel.
