Chapter 4: Couples? > Welcome to the dorm

I sat on top of my suitcase next to the door and waited.

'Surely someone would come to the dorms, Ryan said that his friend would be here soon, so maybe he would come back and let me in.'

As I waited I heard a laughter from two people. It sounded like they were close.

"The shop owner looked so red!" A boy said between laughs.

"It looked hilarious though." A female voice replied, giggling.

The two rounded the corner and I came face to face with a black haired and red eyed boy, who had his arms linked with a girl. Her hair was black with blue and pink highlights, and her green eyes looked over to me.

"Who are you?" The girl asked.

I stood up and held my hand out in front of myself.

"I'm Celeste Starr. I'm supposed to be in room thirteen of this dorm, but I can't seem to get through the first door." I chuckled nervously.

"Oh. I'm Aura Suruat, and this is my boyfriend Scorpion"

"Yo" the boy said. "We'll get you in the dorm, but when you get in, ask Leo for the card. We can't let you in every day."

I said my thanks and brought my hand back, after realising none of them were going to shake it, and followed them into the dorms.

The room had walls that were three quarters cream and one quarter red brick. The floor was light brown and there was a wooden receptionist desk to the far right of the room. On the left was a wooden low table with a brown sofa and armchairs surrounding it.

"Wait over there," Aura pointed to the receptionist desk.

After that they both walked through to the other side of the room and disappeared up the stairs.

I walked over to the receptionist desk and tapped the little metal bell on the counter. Satisfied with the 'ding' sound, I waited.

Soon enough I heard some footsteps and a disheveled tall guy with hazel eyes rounded the corner from a hallway by the stairs.

He had bronze skin with black hair that was in a disheveled Afro. He looked half asleep, until his eyes landed on me.

He immediately stood up alert, and sauntered over to me.

'Oh goodie. Another guy who thinks he's all that.' I though to myself, trying not to roll my eyes in annoyance.

"Are you looking for me?" He asked, in an attempt to sound seductive, walking closer to me.

"Are you Leo?" I asked, putting my hand in his chest, to stop him in his tracks.

He looked confused as he looked down at my hand, then back up to my face and replied.
"Who's asking?"

"Celeste Starr. I'm new."

"And what business do you have with me?"

"I'm in room 13 here, and I need the key to the front door of the dorms. So I was told to wait for you because your the head of the dorm apparently." I replied.

I wasn't usually so rude, it's just that guys like him are annoying.

"Oh. Well here." He went into the receptionist desk and grabbed out a key card, with the words "CELESTIAL" in bold white, with a galaxy style background.

"Thanks. I'll get out of your hair now." I thanked him and made my way to the stairs.

Only to realise I didn't know where my room was.

"Upstairs. End of the hallway." Leo told me, before I could even ask my question.

"Thanks again." I said, turning to give him a small smile.

"Welcome to the dorm."

"When you show kindness to others, they will eventually show kindness to you" My mother smiled, as she placed the shopping bags down in an elderly woman's house.

That woman gave us £10 in thanks.
