'13'

The numbers were carved into the oak door.

I unlocked the door and walked in to discover the room I would be staying in.

It had plain cream walls with wood-looking lino flooring. There was a double bed on the right side of the room, then wardrobes and a dressing table on the left. On the back well was a window. Next to the bed was a door, leading to an en suite bathroom.

'I guess I'll have to customize it myself...' I thought.

After dragging my suitcase into the room, I started to unpack my things. About half an hour had passed when there was a knock at my door.

"It's open!" I called.

A girl with long brown hair and emerald green eyes walked into the room.

She gave off such a positive aura that I couldn't help but feel relaxed.

"Hello, my name is Scala Arbil. Nice to meet you!" She held out a hand for me to shake , and then stopped.

"Maybe a handshake is too formal? Maybe I should give her a welcome hug? But what if that's too personal?" She muttered to herself.

'Indecisive much' I chuckled to myself.

"Hi, I'm Celeste Starr. It's nice to meet you!" I replied, trying to keep the conversation going.

"Yes I know. Ry told me about you." She responded, looking as if she was a tad but upset. Just a tad.

"What else did he tell you about me?" I joked.

"Nothing much. Just that he thinks your a nice person." She mumbled, all the enthusiasm from before shrinking away.

"But anyway, we are having a little get together in the dining room tonight, to welcome you here. It's at 7pm , don't miss it. It is dedicated to you after all." She responded, happiness crawling back into her, as she left the room.

"Thanks for telling me!" I called after her.

"It's fine. Welcome to the Celestial family."

I wandered around the campus for the rest of the day, after going back to the receptionist desk for my lesson timetable.

I figured out where all of my lessons were, then went back to my dorm.

I spent my time thinking about the people I had met today.

Aqua seemed bossy and easily annoyed, but she also seemed kinder when she interacted with Ryan, they must be pretty close.

Ryan seemed like a uncontrollable ball of energy, but Aqua, seemed, to get him to pay attention. Even if it was for a small amount of time.

Aura seemed like a possessive girlfriend. I wonder what she would be like away from scorpion?

Scorpion had a 'delinquent' vibe to him. Especially because I didn't get his second name. It's like he has secrets behind his last name.

Leo seemed like a douche. As if he thought he could get girls without even trying to look presentable.

And then there was Scala. Scala gave off a motherly vibe. And maybe she was close to Ryan. He was most likely the Ry she was talking about.

At 6:50 I made my way down the stairs and too the dining room at the end of the bottom floor hallway.

The dining hall was linked in with the kitchen, and there was no wall between them.

There was also a giant table with, what I thought was, twelve chairs. But, on closer inspection, I could see that a thirteenth chair had been slid in among the other chairs.

'I wonder who else I will meet tonight.'

"Most strangers are just friends you haven't met yet" Mother assured me as I walked through the gates and into my new primary school.
