The True Origins of Natsu Dragneel

Chapter 21

"Acnologia" Natsu muttered venomously under his breath.

"Acnologia, you will train Natsu for a whole year" Zeref commanded. Acnologia didn't like being controlled so he lifted his wings and attempted to squash Zeref under it.

Zeref closed his eyes, time slowed down for him, he could see everything the wing coming down from the way that the dragon's arm tense to strike. Natsu jumped out of the way too although it was out of pure instincts.

The dust caused by Acnologia's wings began to clear up. Under Acnologia was Zeref standing under Acnologia's wings, he seemed unfazed as a black barrier around him protected him from the impact.

Zeref turned to stare at Acnologia with a hint of America and annoyance. Zeref lifted his left hand, aiming at Acnologia's body. A sudden invisible force pushed the dragon back a few meters.

"Don't test me" Zeref said seriously, he didn't like people, including dragons, wasting his time. Acnologia let out another roar but this roar was out of anger.

"You seriously want me to train under this monster?" Natsu shouted pointing at the angry dragon.

"Acnologia is powerful, he might even be more powerful than father" Zeref stated. He looked at Acnologia who was getting ready to attack.

"Stand down Acnologia. I do not wish to fight you today. I simply ask for you to train my brother for a year" Zeref requested but there was a harshness in his voice which suggested that it was more of a command.

"Why the hell should I train a bratty human for you? You've done nothing for me" Acnologia spoke in a rough voice.

"He speaks!" Natsu blurted out stupidly.

"Have you already forgotten? I gave you power, I'm the reason why you are feared by so many. You are my subject and you'll do as I command" Zeref voice went lower and darker. His eyes turned red for a split second. Acnologia was going to attack him again but decided to remain civil with Zeref.

"One year only. After that, if the pink haired brat decided to stick around, I'll kill him myself" Acnologia stated.

"You are to train him so he defeat my father, if he dies because you didn't train him, I'll end you myself" Zeref stated, he turned his back on the dragon and faced his younger brother.

"Pink haired brat my ass" Natsu mumbled under his breath, he was pissed that Acnologia just insulted him but he was even more pissed that he convinced himself to stay and train under him in order to protect his friends and family.

"Natsu, in a year, father will be heading for magnolia, his going to take every last soul and I'm not going to stop him. If you are not strong enough to defeat him yourself than that's your own fault. If he attempts to take your life I will not save you. You will stay dead" Zeref stated harshly. Natsu and Zeref stated at each other for a couple of seconds until Natsu broke out into his infamous smile.

"Good thing I don't plan on dying" Natsu firmly stated with a grin.

Zeref turned his back on the dragon and his brother.

"Farewell, Natsu" Zeref said before he disappeared into thin air.

"Asshole" Natsu mumbled under his breath. "Leaving me with a psychotic killing dragon"
