The True Origins of Natsu Dragneel

Chapter 22

The fairy tail guild was quiet, for the first time, in a long time, the guild was silent, there was no brawl, no fights, no arguing. Team Natsu had just informed the guild and the master on what had happening for the past months. Lucy had handed out the letters that was written to the individuals. There was one each for Makarov, Erza, Wendy, Juvia, Happy, Gray and Lucy.

"It's been a long day...for all of us, especially you guys" Makarov said softly as he took the letter, he directed his words towards team Natsu. "Go home and rest"

"That's all you've got to say? We just told you that Natsu is related to the dark emperor, Zeref and you tell us to go home and take a rest?" Lucy asked out of shock, she was hoping that the master would conduct some sort of search for Natsu.

"You're not thinking straight, when was the last time you guys had a goodnight sleep?" Makarov asked seriously, he then raised his hand and stuck out his thumb, he gave the team a reassuring smile.

"You've got to be kidding me!" Gray shouted as he slammed his hand on the table, the whole table shook and everyone stared at Gray.

Makarov's face turned serious all of a sudden. "You are no use to anyone at your current state" Makarov pointed out harshly. Gray took his hand off the table and walked out of the guild.

"Whatever" Gray muttered before leaving, Juvia grabbed the letter directed to Gray and herself and quickly followed Gray out of the guild.

Makarov sighed, he wanted to go out and look for Natsu himself, he wanted to drag Natsu back to the guild with what ever it takes, but he also knew that Natsu had his reasons for leaving.

"The rest of you, go home and rest, we'll discuss further matter when you have all rested" Makarov said, he hopped off his chair and walked back to his office.

The whole guild remained silent, none of them wanted to believe that Natsu left then for god knows how long.

Ezra couldn't handle the emotions that she was starting to feel, so in order to protect herself from exposing her weakness, she bolted out of the guild as fast as possible, taking the letter with her.

Happy was the next to take the letter and to leave leave, but before e left Lucy stopped him. "Happy....where are you going?" Lucy asked, she knew that happy was going to return back to the house that he had once shared with Happy, but she was going to offer him to stay with her.

"Home" Happy said coldly, he quickly flew out of the guild. Lucy let out a sad sigh as she watched the exceed fly away.

Wendy reached for the letter and then began to walk out of the guild next, Lucy offered to walk her home, but Wendy simply rejected her saying "I need some time alone"

Lucy watched as the members of Team Natsu began to leave the guild, one by one, she couldn't explain the feeling that she got, but it felt like the team was slowly dispersing. She grabbed the last letter and slowly walked out of the guild.

"Gray-Sama" Juvia called out to Gray who was walking ahead of her, Gray kept walking despite Juvia's calls. Juvia silently followed him, they ended up in the forest where Gray used to train with Natsu and Erza as kids.

Gray suddenly stopped and punched the closest tree to him. Gray allowed him self to break down in front of Juvia. Juvia quickly ran over to Gray hugged him from behind.

"How.....HOW COULD HE JUST LEAVE US BEHIND?!" Gray screamed out to no one in particular. Gray finally collapsed, Juvia falling with him.

"Juvia didn't know Natsu for that long, but Juvia thinks that Natsu must have his reasons for leaving" Juvia said softly, Gray couldn't disagree with that.
