"Wha- do you-" Annie was cut off as she got pushed to the side wall by her big sister. She was surprised and a bit hurt at first but her feelings changed when she saw the bullet hole on the wall, where she previously was. 'They got guns???' Annie thought to herself.

"I'm the one you're fighting," Rin declared and attempted to pick up a nearby wooden stick, but horror filled Annie's eyes when a gun shot was heard and Rin's hand started bleeding.

"Guns aren't fair!!" Annie cried out, as she saw Rin still picking up the wooden stick with her hand, but was forced to switch it over to her left hand to avoid dropping it.

"Shhh," Rin said.

"Bu-"

"You're distracting me,"

For the first time that day, Annie saw emotion in Rin's eyes. Not exactly emotion, it looked more like determination.

Determination for what? Determination for protecting Annie.

Annie's eyes stared as she barely made out Rin's swift movements, of her jumping around and it hitting three of them in the head.

But the impact that fell on Rin's hand made her twitch. She couldn't put too much force of the stick would break.

One of the men came forward, taking out a baseball bat. He swung it in such an angle that the only thing Rin could response as was: block -which caused the wooden stick to break from the great impact.

Rin switched to hand to hand combat, but the thought of the gun still lingered in her mind. She had to be fast, to not get hit by the gun. She had to punch in the right places, to do more effect. She had to put a lot of strength in her fists, since the men were big guys. And she was totally out numbered.

Because of her previous movements, the men was now between the combat-ready Rin and fallen Annie. Rin looked at Annie from the side. 'I won't let you down,' she thought.

Her plan worked, for the first few seconds at least. She was totally outnumbered, and it was draining her strength.

It didn't take long for two of them to hold up her hands, so she could no longer move.

"RIN!" Annie cried out.

Rin smirked.

"Wat's so funny?" the person who wasn't holding her said.

"You can't hit her while you're still on me, right?" Rin said, her smirk still on her face.

The guy laughed, understanding what she meant.

"'f ya can live up till then missie~," he said with his own smirk, raising his baseball bat.

Rin didn't expect for anyone to come to help them, but the only thing that she thought she could do was buy time for Annie.

And that's what she planned to do.

"Challenge accepted."

I AM SO SORRRYYY. Like, when I said I'll update when the next chapter is ready, I did NOT mean a month! Like, I just came into wattpad now to check when I last updated my stories (if it was a long time I would write a chapter now) and I saw I updated this last month, like wtf? And I just checked and I had this written, as a DRAFT. I thought I updated this long ago, so I took a little break from writing. It's my mistake, I know. I forgot to update -.-' Sorry for all the trouble, and the very late update. I'm gonna try to write the next chapter now so that you guys don't have to wait that long. :3
