Obsession (Sequel to : The Doctor Will See You Now)

Regretful Memories

"I need to know everything Terri.....I need to know what this woman thinks she can pin on you".

"Im not sure.......I mean when we were dating I was only a junior doctor and I had hardly any responsibilities"

"And the pills?"

"They were not even conceived of....not until I had met you"

"So the research into lesbian relationships and improvement techniques....was that your idea?"

"No.....the health service had an agency that they dealt with....the pills were tried and tested through stringent lab conditions and proven to be effective in trial and have no unusual side effects"

Terri did not know that I had taken two of the pills....both occasions without my knowledge or consent....I needed to tell her about both of those....but the second involved Jessica and I wasn't sure how she would react....so I decided to speak with Jessica about the incident...if she chose to mention it then she would be admitting that Catherine Baker was involved....but at the same time it could have severe consequences for Terri.

"Do you remember one of the first times we met at my house Terri....I found the white pills on a table"

"Yes.....I had come in from work and put them down on the table...you were looking for paracetamol and thought that the bottle contained them".

"I said thanks for letting me know....and you took them away"

"Yes I did.....why do you ask?"

"I lied.....I had taken two of the pills already.....it wasn't until you explained what the pills were supposed to do that I contemplated telling you"

"But you never....why not?"

"Because I felt no odd side effects.....my impression was that they were dud...fake"

Terri looked at me.....her eyes wide.

"But something did happen....didnt it?"

"Yes.......and I have kept this secret on my conscience....you will be the first person I have told about this"

"So what happened".

"Lavendar came home.....she was complaining of a headache but the amount of alcohol she had consumed was an obvious answer to that...she went to bed"

Terri looked at me with a curious expression.

"I don't see what mentioning your sister has to do with this.....what are you trying to tell me"

"I was upstairs reading a book when I heard the sound of glass crashing to the ground....I leapt out of bed and followed the sound to my sisters room.....she had obviously knocked the glass over in her drunken stupor...anyway she was laid on top of the bed and she was naked"

I couldn't say any more .....it was too painful.....the shame....the humiliation.

"You made love to Lavendar?"

I nodded my head.

"My goodness......oh Elixir....Im so sorry.....what have I done"

"I woke up first alongside my sister and it all came flooding back to me....but she was out cold....in effect I had assaulted her"

"You were under the influence yourself and not in control of your actions"

"I know.....any Lavendar clearly remembers nothing"

"How do you know?"

"I know.....she would have told me.....Lavendar is much easier at speaking her mind....and any guilt would consume her"

"Does anyone else know about this?"

"No....your the first person I have told about this"

I knew where Terri was going with this.

"Then what Chloe knows about the pills can only amount to what they are.....what they consist of"

She needed to know more and I wanted to tell her but Jessica would suffer.

"Maybe she is clutching at straws"

"If that's the case then the appeal will be thrown out....Catherine will return to prison and Chloe would be charged with contempt for wasting police time.....no it must be something else"

"Im going to speak with Jessica....just to make sure she is prepared for cross examination"

"Good idea Elixir.....I bet she is very unhappy to be giving evidence against us"

Too be honest I don't think she would be that bothered.
