I waited anxiously for a phone call from Paul.....I had neglected to tell him that I held his whole career in the palm of my hand....he better come through or else I would be having him stricken off....and then his life would be meaningless.....all his former patients would be at the door.
As it turned out I didn't need to wait too long when I got the call.
"Chloe Highfield speaking?"
"Its Paul Franks......can we meet?"
"No problem.......how about the zoo in.....30 minutes"
I disconnected the call and drove my car across town and into the parking area within the zoo.....I waited patiently for him to appear when there was a knock on the door.....I leant over and opened it.
"So Paul.....what do you have?"
"I examined the pills.....it didn't take long to find out the primary ingredient"
"And what is it?"
"Before I tell you.....I want some money for my troubles"
"Oh you do?"
"Yes.....this information is red hot.......your planning to blackmail her are you not?"
I had to give him credit for being smart.
"How much?"
"A Grand"
"Is that all.........I expect you to say a lot more"
"Ok......five grand"
"I like you Paul and because I need this information I will pay you the money"
"Transfer a monkey to my account right now......then send the rest over a period of 4 weeks to avoid suspicion"
"You've got this figured.....ok no problem"
I took his bank sort code and transferred the money....he watched as it was being done and then checked his own online account....the transfer was a success.
"I just need to move the money to another account....I don't want you trying to cancel the transaction later"
"Come on Paul.....Im not that hard up......just give me the information and we can go our separate ways"
"Ok....here are the results"
"Thanks.....I will read them later.....and you can trust me....you will get your payments"
"Ive got a suggestion.....instead of the money"
"Whats that?"
"Have sex with me.....your a very beautiful woman Chloe"
"Sorry Paul.....Im 100% gay......I will pay you the money....but if its any consolation.....if I wasn't..."
I watched him walk back to his own car and leave the zoo....I kissed the envelope and then put it into my handbag....I opened the door and went for a walk.....I loved the zoo and they kept a good variety of animals including marmoset monkeys, tapir and even elk.
I stayed at the zoo for a good hour and then returned to the car.
