To feel okay
After so many years
Of feeling like nothing good
Will ever come
Of your life
Is it so bad
To hate
And love someone
At the same time
Is it so bad
To find peace in violence
And burning hatred in love
Is it so bad
To leave someone as toxic
And as grimy
As a grease filled pan that's been sitting in an abandoned house
And waiting
For years and years
For someone to pour it out
Is it so bad
To want someone to treat you with
Respect?
To want someone to treat you how you know deep down
you deserve to be treated
Is it so much to ask
That for once someone took a minute
To ask you
Is everything okay
Are you alright
Just yell at me
Complain to me
Say everything you feel
I won't say anything I'll just
Listen...
Is it too much to bear
The weight of a friendship built on an abundant amount of hatred and self loathing
Is it too much to ask
That that friendship
Remain filled with hate
And love for one another
Of raw
Terrible
Toxic hate
And clean
Soulful
Nourishing love
Is it so bad
