I woke up and looked around. Of course I was all alone just like every other morning of my life. I laid down, stretched my arms out with a giant yawn, and swing my feet over my bed.
Where did Andrea fucking go? Oh well. I opened up my door and slowly walked downstairs. Once I got to the middle, I heard people talking, those people were my family.
"Yeah but how are we going to tell her?" I heard Kian say. I slowed down and sat on the steps. I know, I shouldn't be eavesdropping but if it does happen to be about me, I have a right to know, don't I? If its about me.
"I have no idea... I mean she was so excited when we told her the other night" I heard Ricky's voice say.
"Yeah, Trevor why didn't you say anything?!" Jc almost yelled.
"Because I wasn't thinking! People say the 4 together all the time! I get confused sometimes!" Trevor defended.
"Ok whatever but she's going to wake up soon! Somebody needs to come up with something!" Andrea yelled.
"Yeah, should we just straight out tell her?" Connor asked.
"Yeah I guess, just we need to use kind words" Trevor said
"Well yeah, we're not going to yell at her!" Kian said.
"Ok so we just tell her? She's going to be devastated" I heard Andrea say.
"I hate seeing Chloe sad" Ricky said. Ok now I know they're talking about me.
"Connor, I think it should just be you telling her. She obviously trusts you the most!" Jc said.
"Yeah, she'd listen to you" Kian agreed.
"Thanks but she'd listen to you guys too!" Connor said sympathetically.
"Connor, she's your daughter you can talk to her about this stuff" Jc said matching his tone.
"Yeah Con, just be nice about it. You can do it." Kian told him.
Ok, now it's time to show myself... Just I can't show I've been listening. I quietly tiptoed back up to the top of the steps and walked right back down, trying not to be quiet or loud. I finally got to the bottom so I turned and managed the way smile as I could as the all looked at me with sad eyes.
"Hey guys... Good morning" I said trying not to sound to chipper so I didn't seem fake.
"Morning" they all answered me with a smile.
"What's for breakfast?" I asked sitting next to Connor on the couch.
"Breakfast? It's already... 11:29!" Ricky yelled opening his phone.
"Sorry! I didn't check my clock this morning!" I said defending myself.
"Clock?" Andrea asked holding back a laugh. "Don't you have a phone to check the time?"
"Oh yeah! We never got you a phone!" Kian yelled.
"Yeah! We were going to get you one but ya know... With the whole... Yeah" Ricky said using his hands for effect.
"HEY! That's what we can do today." Connor yelled. "You and me should go get lunch someplace and we can stop and get you a phone!"
"Yeah! That's a great idea!" Sam yelled.
"You really don't have to.." I said guilty.
"Don't have to what?" Jc asked confused.
"You guys don't need to get me a phone! I'm fine without one!" I told them.
"We're getting you a phone. We'll leave in like half an hour. Sound good?" Connor asked me checking his phone.
"Yeah sure... I really don't need one you know?" I said standing up.
"You tell me that in 2 weeks that you don't need one!" He said laughing. I rolled my eyes and walked upstairs back into my room. I let my fake smile fade as I got to the hallway and into my room. I closed my door and leaned against it.
I know why they're getting me a phone, isn't it obvious?
They're sending me back to the orphanage. They just want to do one last final nice huge gesture before dropping me back off at the orphanage and never seeing me again. That's what they were talking about!

WHAT ELSE COULD IT MEAN? They're sending me back.
I'll never get to hear Ricky's lisp that doesn't sound bad whatsoever again, never get to talk about mooing dinosaurs with Kian and Jc again, never get to have Sam bring me Mac and Cheese again, I'll never get to have another heart to heart with Andrea, I'll never get to laugh with Zack and Bridgette again, I'll never be able to tell Trevor the truth, but most importantly,
I'll never get to see Connor again, never get to bury my face in his chest again, never get to hear him tell me he loved me, never get to tell him I love him again, I'll never get to tell him that I wish he was my dad, I'll never get to call him dad.
I'll never see any of them again.
I quickly wiped away the tear that had escaped my eye and got dressed. I quickly pulled on my black basketball shorts, and my new purple tank top. I ran a brush through my long hair before letting it flow and pulling on my purple beanie. I check myself over in the mirror and walked back downstairs.
They were still on the couch talking but when they saw me they shut up and smiled.
I faked a smile back and sat next to Andrea this time. For the last time...
"Connor what time is it?" I asked him.
"Uh.. 11:53. Lets leave at 12" he told me. I nodded and leaned into Andreas shoulder. She untangled her arms from Kians waist and pulled them around me. "You ok?" She whispered into my ear.
I didn't say anything except for pull out of the hug and leaned against her. She kept her arms around me and laid her head on top of mine.
"Awwwww aren't you two just the cutest little things!" Ricky said sounding like an old grandma. I smiled at him and relaxed. I gotta enjoy this place while I can.
"Yeah, last night before I went to bed I checked on them and they were being all snuggly duggly with each other!" Connor said with a grin.
"Snuggly duggly?" Andrea asked as we held back a laugh.
"Yup! Just like you are now!" He said with a smile.
"Yeah, what were you guys talking about anyways?" Kian asked nudging Andrea. Ok here it is Andrea... Moment of truth time... Of she doesn't tell I know I can trust her! Otherwise if she does tell...
I looked at her. She looked at Kian, looked at me with sad eyes then smiled at me.
"I think we'd both be happier if we kept it between us" she said never breaking eye contact. I smiled at her and gave her a quick hug before looking around at the boys.
Most didn't seem to care, except Kian looked sad that his girlfriend was keeping something from him, but he'll get over it. Trevor looked confused and thankful at the same time, yes, yes it was a hilarious look for him. And Connor looked hurt, hurt that I didn't tell him something but somebody else. I'll have to make it up to him today and then get whisked away back to the orphanage.
"Oh Chlo you ready to go?" Connor asked gathering himself and checking his phone.
"Yup" I nodded before standing up. I gave Ricky, Sam, and Jc a hug, Trevor a quick, awkward hug, gave Kian a hug, and finally got to Andrea. I gave her a longer hug than anyone else.
"Thanks for not telling" I whispered into here ear.
"I keep my promises" she whispered back pulling me away and giving me a wink. She leaned into Kian as I walked over to Connor.
"Ready?" I asked him.
"Sure am" he smiled wrapping his arm around my shoulder as we yelled a goodbye and left the house. I got into shotgun while Connor walked around the car to get to the other side.
He started up the car and after we left the driveway he said without hesitation.
"So how was your night with Andrea last night? Did you talk about anything special?"
Ok ok just stay calm now Chlo... Stay calm.
"It was good! I mean I love you guys to death but I liked having another girl around for a night." I said ignoring his other question.
"Good. I'm glad" he said smiling. He tapped his hands on the steering wheel before turning on the radio.
"But I'm not that old, young but I'm not that bold" One Republics song came through the speakers I smiled and lip synced along looking out the window.
"Shiii-----ot shoot... I forgot to vlog this week!" Connor said catching himself. I laughed as waited for him to continue. "Could you grab my camera for me? It's in the glove compartment in front of you" he said pointing.
"Yeah sure" I said opening it up and taking it out." He pulled up to a red stoplight so he quickly turned it on and hit record.
"Could you hold it for me? Just point it at me" he asked handing it to me.
"Yeah of course!" I said smiling. I grabbed it from his hands as the light turned green.
I pointed the camera at him and he began.
"Hey what's up you guys. It's Connor. So today.... Chloe and I are going shopping to get her a phone! But first were going to get some lunch." He said continuing driving.
"Ok so I'll see ya guys later!" He said covering up the camera with his hand.
"K thanks! I'll continue when we get there. THANK YOU!!!!!" He said dragging it out.
"YOUR WELCOMEEEEEEEEE" I said copying him.
We talked about random stuff until we pulled into this random restaurant.
I unbuckled and Connor met me in front of the car. We walked inside the doors. We sat a table and ordered. I forgot what Connor got but I went simple and got Mac and Cheese. Mac and cheese.... This reminded me of Sam... And how I'll never be able to see again. I brushed it off and noticed Connor pulling out his camera again.
"Ok so we-" he said pointing the camera at me as I did the 'deuces' face "-are getting some lunch. I got a sandwich and Chlo got Mac and Cheese. So were gonna eat and I'll see ya later!" He covered the lens with his hands again and looked at me.
"Ok Chloe... There's something I need to-"
"Here you guys go!" The waited said walking over and putting the food in front of us. Connor put his head down in disappointment and thanked him.
"What, What'd you need to tell me?" I asked scared. This is it... I know it.
"I- I'll tell you after we eat." He said looking down.
"Are you sure?" I asked.
"Yeah yeah... It's really good here you don't want it to get cold" he said not looking at me. I stared at him for a few seconds before starting to eat. I bet, this place is amazing... I mean it is good but right now, after seeing Connor so disappointed, after knowing this is it, I suddenly lost my appetite.
