Ch5 The Past

~•~One Month Later~•~

Carl's POV

Its been already a month since Rory got here and I still hadn't asked her the question, my question. The two of us have mostly been farming and I see that her friends now, know how to use knives and on how to throw those, then Rory bought two crossbows, one for her and one for Joshua.

My dad took my gun and he still have it while Rory, dad took her weapons hoping that she'lll live in a normal life, Well that's the same reason for why my dad also took my gun. It's kinda embarrassing to me that dad have to take Rory's weapons, is it just because she's also farming? Look, her friends' weapons hadn't been taken and they aren't farming.

It is like 6 in the morning and I woke up for myself so Rory, I mean dad will just like say 'very good' and that is all I wanted to hear from my dad. I'm harvesting the green peas that me and my dad planted and I am standing behind the vines so no one can actually see me. "Hi" there's this someone who said from behind and it was Rory. "H-Hi, how-w you do-doing?" Oh crap, did I stutter? That is what I am avoiding since we met each other again. "I'm fine 'bout you?" she asked while she's smiling and is just like tilting her head slightly and with a face like saying 'Are you okay?' and I wish she won't ask me that. "Are you okay?" Oh man! now that's what I'm avoiding....Okay why won't I just relax.

"I'm fine" I said back relaxed. "Good come on let's go to work." she said while she's picking some of the peas. As we're picking the veggies she looks nervous and she's just like me when I saw her a few minutes earlier and she can't even look at me and she's very quiet. Does she still remember me? Well, why not ask her. "Remember the past?" I asked smiling and looking at her "Yeah, back in kindergarten?" she asked while smiling but she's not looking at me. "Yup, why did you and your dad moved anyway?" I asked her while I'm still looking at her "I don't know... My dad says we have to." she said like there is something hidden inside her. "Well, you know that we hadn't seen each other for years right? And here you are we're together again." I said...Did I just said that, well ghats stupid. "What about that?" she asked me , and now she looked at me with a smile. "Nothing...I don't know...sigh...its just that...I always get nervous when I'm with you." I said pausing in like, each and every word. "Why so?" She said and she's blushing 'cause of what I said... Nailed it! "You blushing?" I asked like I'm the ruler now. "No, I'm not!" she said with a giggle. "Face it, you like me." I said while laughing at her and then she just got quiet. "Rory, you okay?" I asked her in guilt... Did I just say that?!..."I'm fine" she said like she's mad. "Okay! Fine! I only said that because the two of us saw each other again and I only said that because I Love... You." Did I just said that?! Then she just like looked at me and I said "Well, say something". She just like stood there and I asked her "Do you even like me?" I asked while I'm holding her shoulders to make her face me "Come on just tell me the truth... Nothing's gonna be wrong of you tell me the truth right?" I said while I am calming her down. "I told you my secret. And now its your turn. Do you love me?" I looked at her hoping that she will say yes. Then I saw a tear coming down from jer eyes and she said "Yes, I do love you. Back from the time when Daryl bought me to this group and I am thanking God that he brought me here." She said while I started hold her chin and slowly put her lips onto mine then we just suddenly heard that the gate opened then she just pulled herself away from me with a smile and said "Your dad's here." she said while smiling at me and she just like pretended that there's nothing happened.

"Good Morning" I heard Rory said to dad while she's leveling the soil and dad said "Good Morning too" He said back in a happy tone. "Morning Dad" I said "You two are up so early is there anything that happened or I need to around here?" Dad asked like he's just playing with is. "Nope" I said while smiling at Rory then she smiled back. "You sure?" dad said while looking at Rory "Well, there's actually something between us." I said while Rory looked at me in an annoyed look. "Alright, fine tell it to him but don' let anyone know about including my friends... I'll just tell it to them on my own." Rory said while looking at me and I just chuckled then dad looked at us and said "okay, okay, I understand you two have this thing already, right?" dad asked then me and Rory just nodded yes while dad is smiling at us.

Joshua's POV

Me and Beth are having a date in some place that I don't know but it looks like its abandoned but its still clean.

As me and Beth are walking on hallway I looked at her with a smile then she looked at me too with a smile then I saw her soft hand and I held it and kissed it. "I Love You" I said to Beth "I Love You too" Beth answered back. I slowly cupped her chin and put her soft lips onto mine.

As we're kissing, something just suddenly pulled her and it was a walker and it bit her on her neck. I quickly grabbed my crossbow and shoot the walker. When I rushed towards Beth she almost bit me and I just stepped back and shoot her while I'm crying, then walkers suddenly came from behind and chase me, so I quickly ran to the fire exit and then...

"BETH!!!" I shouted and I found myself sitting on my bed sweating and still thinking about what happened. "Joshua! Are you okay?" I heard a beautiful voice and I saw Beth entering my room with a concerned face. "I-I'm O-Okay!" I stuttered then I just said "Just go I'm okay and I'm sorry calling you with no reason." I said back while I'm breathing heavily.still thinking about what happened.
