Ch9 Infected

Carl's POV

I just woke up in the tower for where Rory and I stayed through the night. "Morning Rory" I said as I cuddle her. Everyday in my life the only one that I mostly wanted to see first when I wake up is Rory. "I can't believe it that we actually slept here." Rory said. "I didnt even plan staying here." Rory added again. "Lets go to the yard." I said as I was helping her to stand up.

"Hey Lovebirds" Michonne said from behind and she walked close to Rory "How's he as your boyfriend?" Michonne asked Rory. "He's fine and a bit hard headed for some time." Rory said while the three of us laughed. Rory walked towards the stable, getting Michonne's horse ready. "Can you get me some clothes if you can find some?" Rory asked Michonne as she's leading the horse.towards us. "Okay, sure." Michonne said. "Mornin' Mr. Grimes." I heard Rory. "Morning. How'd you and my son done in the tower?" He asked while looking at me, smiling...Weird... "DAD!" I said 'cause hes maybe telling Rory something that she doesn't kinda understand. "Alright, alright, I'm sorry." Dad said while putting his hand up in the air like he is saying 'I'm innocent'

"I'll go looking for some stuff." Michonne said as dad opened the gates.

When Michonne's away already, I saw dad walking towards the pigpen and I knew that he can't see us. "I Love You" I told Rory as I am trying to kiss her but she said "Your dad might see us" Rory said while looking at dad. "Don't worry" I said as I am slowly leaning towards her and thats where the two of us kissed.

BANG!!

I felt Rory pulled herself away from me and she have this worried look on her face. Rory and I ran towards dad and we saw Rory's group while they're carrying Mika, Lizzie, and Karen away from the cell block for where the gunshots are coming from.

I saw dad handed Rory her crossbow and knife back then she headed towards the cell block. "Rory!" I shouted not wanting her to inside the cell block but it was too late. "Stay Here" Dad said while giving me a signal not to come in the Block.

I saw Maggie on the gate trying to open it for Michonne. The gate opened and walkers stormed inside the prison and I dont know what to do 'cause dad told me not use weapons but I have no choice. Maggie quickly closed the gate then I quickly grabbed a Bolt Action Rifle. Maggie quickly grabbed a machete and Michonne is preparing her Katana and I started shooting at walkers while Michonne and Maggie started bashing their heads of, and then there's silence for a few seconds then BANG!!!

Rory's POV

I rushed inside the cell block while I'm wearing the armor, just like Glenn's armor, and I saw walkers tearing people apart. I quickly loaded my bow and shot the walker that was biting a man's arm. Then a walker grabbed me from behind, which caused me to drop my bow, and I am keeping its mouth away from my neck using my right arm by placing it under its chin and pushing it away from me then Carol stabbed it in the head. I was surprised that its Charlie.

"Get away from there!" I shouted at Ryan Samuels, Lizzie and Mika's father. As I pulled him he grabbed me and bit my arm and I just quickly stabbed it using my left hand. Thanks to my armor I wasnt bit.

I met up with Joshua while he's loading his crossbow that I gave him, then, I quickly picked up my bow then I hit a walker using the side of it. "Aaaahhhh!!!" I heard Joshua shout then when I turn around I saw a walker biting his right hand. I quickly grabbed the walker away from him, and with all of my adrenaline rushing, I am able to throw the walker away from Joshua, in my anger, I stabbed the walker multiple times until I realized that its Patrick. Then, I was thinking about guilt, then I remembered Joshua. I quickly pulled him inside a cell. I quickly removed my belt and tie it onto Joshua's arm so he won't lose to much blood. "Alright bro. I know your tough and I want you to calm down 'cause I'm going to amputate your right hand" he quickly pulled his hand away from me and he isnt able to speak then I saw his right hand that his hand lost its pinkie and ring finger. "Look, I'm doing for you. And for me to be able to do it you must trust me 'cause I'm also doing this for Beth." Then he calmed down and I quickly grab a hatchet then I repeatedly hit his hand I, and at that point, I cant hear anything, then he just passed out.

I just froze there not knowing what to do. "Joshua!" I heard Daryl shouted from behind and he is so speechless and he started crying.

I head out of the cell I hugged Rick.

The council and I headed to a room with Dr. S. "There might be a disease going on around here. And all of the ones that are exposed in the cell block might be Infected" Dr. S said and I just got scared and I turned pale as they're talking about the disease on how hard it will hit you.

I rushed out if the room and I can feel sweat coming out of my body and I am coughing severely. I saw Glenn in his cell showing the symptoms that is same as mine. "Glenn" I said scared while he faced me "I think I have it" I said. "Me too" Glenn said as he started to cough.

Daryl's POV

I've never been so broken down when I saw my son like that No father would want his son to suffer. I can't take it seeing my son like that so I just headed out of the cell block and wandered off in the prison yard and I saw Carl and he asked "Where's Rory, is she safe? Is she bit?" Carl asked nervously. "No, she's fine." I answered. "Thanks my dad just doesnt want me to go in there and Im so worried about her." He said. There I saw on how much he really cares for her 'cause at  first I tought he was just joking. "Well, Im sure she's happy that you're not coming in the cell block 'cause there's a disease and your dad told me that she have it. She wants you stay away from her for awhile to keep you safe and she also told your dad to tell me to tell you that she loves you." I said with a serious face and Rick really told me that. "Okay... Thanks" Carl said with a long face while he walked towards Rory's friends.

Rory's POV

Rick decided that the Infected ones should stay inside an isolated area. Glenn and I helped each other to go into the cell 'cause none if the two of is can barely walk.

"Hey" I said as I see Carol assisting the others to go inside the cell block. Carol looked at me with a force smile.

I  saw a vacant cell and I have just decided to let Glenn stay there. "You should stay here." I said weakly. "No, You're the kid stay here." He forced me then I just answered "I can't take something that I gave already." I said. "Okay" Glenn said.

I was coughing severely and I dont know what to think of 'cause the only things thats in my mind is Carl.... Is he okay?.... Is he safe?.... and I wish Carl got the message that I've told him that I love him.

All through the times, I cant rest thinking that I may not wake up the next day. I am not ready to die. I still want to see my friends happy and I don't want to see them sad especially Carl.
