Ch25 Secret

A Day Later

Rory's POV

Man! That is so embarassing, know what I mean? Admitting that you're jealous 'cause your boyfriend ain't here.

"I wanna go look for him." I said while The Hawkies are sitting in the cafeteria table in the cafeteria with their so-called "boyfriends" if you ask me. "C'mon then." Joshua said as he placed his feet up on the table. "C'mon then but stop doin' that" I said as I smacked his feet off the table 'cause there are foods on the table... Respect that!... "Sorry." He said back as he wiped his eyeglasses for fingerprints. "Who's in?" I ask as I put my hand in the middle, like players do when the game us just gonna start. "You know I'm in" Joshua said as he placed his hand on top of mine. "Me too" Hope said while competing with Bea for who's faster. "Look, face it, we're all in." Arianne said as the others put their hands in. "Aaaaand HAWKIES!"

"You know what, Hope? How did you and Bryon worked out anyway?" I asked while we're driving in my Hummer then they all gave me a look. "Fine, fine. I'm just asking." I said. "Anyway guys, I am so sorry 'cause I'm always calling your crushes some names if you know what I mean." I said as pulled up by the side of the road.

Look, Harrily's name is just Harley. Roddy's name is just Rodman. Bryon's name.... Well, that's pretty much it.

"Preparation time." I said as I got out of my car. "Okay, H n' A go right. B n' Jj, go left, Nicca, you guard my precious Hummer." I said as I pointed the directions. I mostly call my friends their first-letter in their names. "All right, set your watches to 1:45 and when its five, we go back here." I said as I started loading my Falcon and M4. "You're gonna go alone?" Nicca asked me a little startled. "The hell I am." I said back in a nice way. "You sure?" Joshua ask me as he put on his holster. "Yup. People just slow me down. I'm better off alone." I said back as I set my watch's compass to south so I can find my way back. And then off I go to the forest.

2:00pm

Alright Goddamit! I'm feeling different like I'm gonna turn evil again and that's what I've been avoiding... Look, I know that all of y'all think that I'm crazy but this is how broken down I am since Carl and I got separated and I just don't want to admit it to my friends... If only dad were here.

"Aaaarrrgh!" A walker growled and its just goin' to grab me and then my fear of walkers disappeared suddenly. "Aarrgh!" I growled back as I kicked the walker away from me and it fell down. I snatched out my hunting knife and walked fast towards the walker. I got on top of her and I stabbed her three times in the head. "You fucking bitch!" I shouted and sat down beside a tree with me staring on my hands that are covered in blood and I started getting angry, getting out of control, and regretting for getting my hands dirty by killing people with selfish reasons.

Joshua's POV

"Something ain't right." I said to myself. "Pardon me?" Bea asked and she's starting to form her europian accent. "Something ain't right." I said again. "Why so?" she asked me. "Look, Rory...sigh... She's just not right." I said and honestly... for thirteen years I have the time to know her, and she's different today.... "Oh, yeah, I know. She changed after she lost Carl." She said. "Yea... Look, she ain't even talking about a thing that had happened to her. Y'know what I mean right?" I said. "Yeah... I know. Look, when Rory had been kidnapped, she didn't even talked about it. Unlike other people, they would even go to a therapist or a psychiatrist or something" I said.

"Yeah. I know... She didn't even speak a word about it."

"Well, who knows? She maybe just don't want to talk about it."

And then silence came through fot a few seconds.

"What do you think will happen if Rory found out that since we were kids we already know that Sir Rooker ain't her real father but Rory does not even know anything about us that we know they're family secret except for her?" Bea asked.

"I don't know. She already found out who her real father is, but she still doesn't know that their family asked us to keep it a as a secret, but then, she found it out on her own." I said.

"I feel guilty about it." Bea said.

"Yeah... Me too, for making her look stupid by letting her be with her unreal dad" I said back.

"It's going to be hard to The Hawkies when she's gone. I mean, look, when the prison group got separated, The Hawkies are on their own with the other residents but when Rory came back, things changed for us." I said.

"It'll be hard if we loose her again." Bea said.

"Yeah... I know... The three of us have been friends since she was born and when we grew up they call us as 'The Three Musketeers' and also 'The Three Idiots' cause we always work together and I don't want that to disappear... The strength of our friendship." I said.

"Okay, things are starting to get emotional... Change topic... What will you do if you lost your boyfriend?" I said pretty quickly.

"That may lead to something emotional." She said.

4:50pm

Rory's POV

I woke up by a tree and there's a dead walker beside the tree that I woke up from and there's also blood on my hands. "Oh yeah." I said plainly to myself as I remember things that I've done. I Pulled out a piece of cloth from my bag anf I poured water to it from my water bottle and wiped the dried blood that's on my hands.

"It's almost time." I heard a familiar voice. "Carl?" I said while looking around but he just ain't there. I got up and walked away from the tree.

"Carl!" I shouted, hoping that he'll shout back but worth a try... Nothing...

I walked and walked and walked and I've encounterd a lot of walkers, which caused blood to be all over me, especially when I accidentally stabbed a walker's neck which caused the most amount of blood to be all over me.

I kept on walking and then I got tripped by the root of a tree. "Dammit!" I said to myself. "I can't believe it that I twisted my ankle, Idiot!" I said as I am trying to stand up which I also managed to do but its extremely painful, which causes me to walk like a walker

I don't for where I am right now and it's almost dark. Shit! It's 5:10!. I gotta get back. I looked on my watch to look at my compass but... Crap! I can't see...

I'm just going to pull my flashlight out until I heard something from a bush. I heard a loud noise and then black.
